Citrus Degreasers

I have a few questions about this stuff:

#1 Does it really work, or should I just use a little more elbow grease with wash? (I'm sick of bug guts on my bumper)

#2 Do you recommend using it before or after a wash?

#3 What brand(s) do you recommend? I've seen Simple Green mentioned on here quite a bit.

Thanks for any info

There are products out there that specifically removes bugs and tar.

You have to be careful with degreasers, citrus based or not. As the product implies, they remove grease in any form. This would also include any wax or sealant you may have applied on the surface as well as any tar based coatings on asphalt driveways. Degreasers would strip off all your hard work, so use with caution. Simple green is pretty strong and usually needs to be diluted, I only use it full strength when I have greasy gunk build up inside the engine compartment.
