What is appropriate ?

It all depends on what you feel is appropriate. A large majority of my customers pay list but a few will give me $20 and sometimes even $30 extra. It just depends on the situation and the person.

^^^ what he said .. also if you feel the job surpassed your expectations you would base it on that.

I had a guy with a new TL-S that tipped me $50 cuz I removed a scratch in his door that his wife put there the first day that had the car and he was quoted $500 for a respray.

He never mentioned the scratch ... it was obvious and never told me he was going to have it resprayed. We just did it as part of the job.

He was thrilled.

I have had others with many scratches and got zilch .. lol

yeah man i have people who will give the exact amount and then people that have given an extra 50, all depends on the person. some people like to tip and some dont
