car wash damage
I took my '06 NBP RL to a Bubbles Car Wash (hand wash, no brushes). Well, I now have a number of scratches on the hood from the use of 'hand brushes' by the hog-fisted workers. I complained, was told no brushes were used (I saw them using the hand brushes), even though I said I watched them. They told me those brushes would not scratch the clearcoat. The Mgr proceeded to use some Zymol cleanser, some fine scartches were removed but not the deeper ones. Filled out a incident report, was told someone would be in contact within 24 hrs after speaking to the techs that worked ont he car. I am sure they will admit to using brushes and sctaching the hood/fender - RIIIIGHT. I know it was my own fault for taking to a 'hand car wash' but for the life of me I never expected this to happen. Why don't service providers care anymore for the customer. More time was spent argueing with me than trying to difuse the situation. I was told by the Mgr (female, BTW) that no way would a buffer be used to try to get the scratches out since it is a black car. If their workers were competent a buffer could be used. I am so PO right now. I know what their answer will be once they get back in touch with me.

Random Orbitals are 99.9% fail safe. A Hi Speed rotary, in incompitant hands can make a mess though....
