Car Paint Blending
Hey guys question..
Bought a new rear bumper-- Paint matched, from far away you really can't tell the difference unless you stare at the rear bumper, well my neighbor noticed it today (new rear bumper is slightly darker) and it completely annoyed me...
I have access to a buffer; just wondering if theres a way to blend the bumper to the rest of the car, going to an autobody shop is not an option right now..
Any products that can help or any steps to help blend it would be great!!
here is a pic

Did the car go to a body shop for that rear bumper,
or did you bring the bumper seperately and give the shop the color code.
Reason I ask is when a car is painted, or body parts are painted, there are different variations of the same Color Code (different batches you might say). And so, when the car is being repaired, the painter will try to match the best variation to the color of the vehicle.
Sometimes it's just a shit tint job, happens all the time but the body shop should fix to get it closer.
FYI:painted metal vs painted plastic will differ no matter what, but the color shouldn't be as off as it is.
Hope this helped.
