Can I use heat?

I have some stringy adhesive like stuff (its more hardened than adhesive) on the side of my car that I havent been able to get off. Ive tried clay and Tarminator. Can I use a hair dryer and heat the stuff up to try to get it off or will that hurt the finish???

thanks!!

Heat wont hurt, as long as its not too hot. You'll be fine.
Have you tried WD-40 ?
