Can I repair this scratch on my own?

Hey everyone, any help for this would be greatly appreciated...

Found a scrape along the wheel edge of my body today; got it estimated to fix at a body shop at my Acura dealer for $550. Was wondering if 1) this was reasonable, and 2) if it was possible to fix with the paintscratch kit (primer, body paint, clearcoat) I got by myself. If I did do it myself, would it turn out alright?

Thanks!

Yikes! Your obviously down to the primer, and then some I wouldnt attempt it if your not familiar with wetsanding, and compunding......Let the pros do it, then if you dont like it, you take it back for free......Tell them not to touch anything other than that panel though!

sounds right to me.... I would check into a junk yard for a quarter panel...I am not a dent expert, however if I was to going to pay someone to compound and repaint, I would kick myself if there was still a dent in the fender. I saw a 2003 TL in a junk yard and grabbed the tail lights, if there is one close to you, there might be a chance you could get the fender repainted and it would be as good as new.

Excel... Do you know if they are able to get all kinds of dents out? I have some tiny ones in my trunk lid, just enough to notice it in the reflection.
