Brand New 05 TL
I have read a lot of thread talking about washing, claying, polishing, and waxing. My question is this. I have a new 05 TL (like 12 hours old) and wanted to know if I should do all those steps, or just put a good coat of NXT wax on it, or do nothing at all?
Also, should I do it right away, or should I wait a while? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Bob .. Many on here will recommend a good detail right away. Claying will help to rid the car of any contaminents from transporting it to you. If you do it now, at least you know you have a good base to work from as you enjoy your TL.

Also, make sure that if you're gonna go to a polymer sealant (like BlackFire or NXT), as opposed to carnuba wax, be sure to get any wax the dealer may have put on, OFF so that the polymer has a good surface to bond too... I *think* it is safe to say the dealership does NOT use polymer sealants for delivery! Right?
Removing the old wax so the new polymer has a good base is CRITICAL.
