Best/easiest way to strip paint off painted wheels?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please move if necessary.

I'm buying a set of wheels for winter which are painted and the finish looks pretty beat up since the owner of the wheels painted it himself. Long story short, what's the easiest/best way to strip off the paint?

I didn't want to go through and sand off the paint from every single spoke and spot on the wheels. Should I use paint thinner, mineral spirits? or something like that? I have no clue. Please advise...

You may want to check with a local paint supply shop and see what they have to avise. Im sure there are several paint stripper products available you could choose from.
