Aynone use Blackfire's 3 step, shampoo, polish, paint protection? with Porter Cable?
I bought the blackfire new car kit from proper auto care last year for my previous car (350z). It seemed fairly easy to use.
Step 1 Blackfire shampoo to wash the car
Step 2 Blackfire Polish
Step 3 Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection
I knew very little about properly cleaning/detailing a car back then, and now realized I used the products improperly some of the time. Examples, sometimes I would use Step 3 before Step 2 and not think much of it. sometimes I would use the same applicator for the polish and paint protection. Although, the results always seemed pretty good.
I plan to keep using the same products on my new Nighthawk Black Pearl TSX, but with much more care. Blackfire is hard to remove, especially the Paint Protection (step 3). I'm going to get a Porter Cable, but I don't know how to use it with these products. Anyone have any experience or tips for using them with a porter cable? What attachments would I have to get to make it work?

BF Protectant is one of the easiest products to remove. You more than likely had applied it too thick. It is one of the best Polymer products available.
Use the Paint cleaner with a green pad. It is only a light swirl mark remover, so dont expect miracles from it. If you need something more aggressive, consider Poorboys World SSR lines.
Apply the protectant with a blue 7" constant contact pad. Let cure for 30 minutes approx, dependant upon humidity and temps.

Can I use an orbital or dual action polisher to apply BLACKFIRE products?
Absolutely! If fact, machine application will achieve better results than can be obtained by hand. If you are using the Porter Cable 7424 Dual Action Polisher and our Variable Contour Professional Foam Pads, here’s our recommendation:
* Apply BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish with our white foam polishing pad. (Our part number 46-670VC)
* Apply BLACKFIRE All Finish Paint Protection with our grey finishing pad. (Our part number 46-770VC)
See “Applying BLACKFIRE products by machine” on the APPLICATION GUIDE page for instructions and tips on applying BLACKFIRE products with a polisher.
ALso read this: before you start (is the appilcation guide for by hand or machine waxing with Blackfire)

hope it helps and post some pics if you can!

after some research it appears as though the best price for the porter cable is $110. and the pad kits can be had for $50.
I'm going to order one of these pad kits, they're both $50, which one do you guys think is better?

comes with 'free' how-to cd

anyone know where to buy the porter cable 7424 for $110? i called Lowes but they're out of stock. It seems the fastest way is to order online, but most sites are selling them for $120-130.
