Automatic car washes
I usually wash and dry my car by hand with a microfiber mitt, but lately I've been quite busy.
A new automatic car wash opened up near me that uses soft cloth strips that are drawn across the car(went through with my mom's 10 year old land rover), which seemed pretty delicate.
I know the high pressure laser washes typically use harsh chemicals, and the older spinning brushes scratched up paint. Are these newer auto washes with the soft fabric strips decent and worth going to to save time?
thanks!

I'm pretty busy myself. I work 70+ hours a week, at a minimum, but always make time to wash or have my car washed. I go to places that have been around for quite awhile and only do hand washes.
I've heard so many horror stories with drive through car washes, so personally I dont recommend any....just my 2cents....

not only would i trust a drive through car wash, but i wouldnt trust a hand wash place either....who knows what was washed with their mitts and drying towels right before your car....i would do a touchless wash and air dry if i just couldnt find the 1 1/2 hours it takes me to do my car inside and out....

I understand with time consumption, but, if you had to go to one, definitely one with hydro-pumped car washes.
There are no cloths involved and the drying process is through air pressure

Ok no I don't. I just rather wash my own car, at least I can slap myself if I put swirls in it, and not end up in jail.

My cars I have always washed myself, the only one I didn't wash myself by hand was my truck because it was lifted a little more than stock and so big. And it was a truck, so I wasn't AS concerned.. not that I didn't want it to look nice.
