Auto Unlimited Detailed: 2003 BMW M3 Jet Black
I worked on this car back in September 09. The owner of this 03 M3 was selling this car and wanted this car to look as sharp as possible.
This car had 70000 miles. The car was never garaged its entire life and it shows. The paint was really dull and swirled to hell. There are some bad RIDS as well. The car was washed only when it was at the dealership, so it also explains the scratches and swirls.
The engine bay is also dirty as well. I can't believe anyone can neglect any car, let alone an ///M car. But hey, these people keep me busy!
The interior is decent with some wear on the driver's side bolster but this is pretty common. The owner only wanted me to clean and condition the leather plus vacuum and wipedown. He doesn't have a pet or kids nor he smokes, so the interior is not too dirty.
I was aiming to achieve 90% correction because the car needed to really shine to really attract buyers and the owner promised to garage the car until sold. Later he emailed me that the car was sold quickly for a decent amount of $$.
I ended up spending about 18 hours on this car.
Tools and products used:
Makita rotary and PC
Many Lake Country 6.5" and 4" foam pads
Prima Swirl, Amigo, Epic.
Laitner Power Brush
Black Wow
Meguiar's Mild Clay, Last Touch, Hyper Dressing, APC+, Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum Polish
A lot of MF towels, applicators and multiple brushes
Leatherique Prestine Clean
Lexol Leather Cleaner and Conditioner
#0000 Steel wool
