Anyone use painters tape?

I am taking a road trip up to Canada tomorrow and I dont want the front end of my NBP to get all chipped up. Saw a couple people that use painters tape on the front end to prevent this. So I washed my car and used some Zaino QD on it. Then I masked off the front bumper and front half of the hood with the tape. Anyway, I would invest in a bra but I dont have the time nor the money to take a trip to the dealer. Anyone else ever use painters tape?

Weird, I've never heard of this... good idea though. Especially if it saves you from a few chips in the paint!

the first 2 feet of the hood and the bumper need 2 layers- that will save you !!

The problem with painters tape is it doesnt absorb energy. It may help from bug stains, but I think a rock would still do damage. However, its probably better then nothing, even if its just for bugs!

If it keeps the rock from going ALL the way thru the primer-and just nicks the surface because tape slowed it down, I would be happy with that on a trip
Then retouch all the paint and install a clear bra

I just used my sonic scubber detail brush again after major clay-clean- wax job- got all the leftover wax from the rubber edges and impossible to reach places like it was nothing!! Multi stars for this product!!

These little puppies dont get near the attention they deserve. They are awesome tools to have as part of your detailing arsenal. Even around the house, RV, offroad equipmen etc......

Available ONLY here, and through Sonic Scrubber themselves (last I was told)

shhhh my wife keeps eyeing it since the tv commercial shows them using it on kitchen tile grout and around the bathroom faucet.
Looks like I will be getting those extra brushes after all~
