another accident ):

Hey guys,

Well, I managed to back-up into my mom's 07 Santa Fe today I wasn't paying attention, and didn't realize it to the last second. Anyway, I was seriously going no faster than 2 mph. The damage isn't too bad. I definitely broke the paint on the rear bumper of my 07 TSX (CGP). Also, I have one indentation from a screw hole. How much am I looking at to have this repaired at a body shop? I will try to get some pictures posted up here soon, but thought I'd get some ideas on some prices.

Thanks much!

Jeff

"broke the paint" - what do you mean? a scratch down to the metal, or is the surface bent in a way where the paint is chipped/flaked?

Hard to say w/o pics, but if you replace the bumper, that's $400-500 easy.

Basically, there are multiple vertical scratches. The car is silver, but where the scratches are, I can see black. I'm assuming that this is the primer? Also, there is one indentation from a license plate screw on the bumper, but the bumper itself isn't dented or cracked. Can this just be repainted? If so, what would something like this run? Also, can a little screw hole indentation be repaired, or will this require a completely new bumper?

Thanks guys!

Jeff

P.s. I will try to get a picture tom morning, but right now it's dark out, so it's hard to see it..

The scratch is on the bumper and you see black? I am fairly certain the color of the raw (unpainted) bumper is black. I had some jerkoff hit-and-run my rear bumper during the night (a month after just getting my bumper replaced because some chick drive into me at a red light) and there are 2 places that are absolutely through all the layers of paint, and its black underneath. Not gonna buff that out...
