So after detailing my car with a PC (see previous thread) for the first time, I got hooked and spent some more money on products and wanted to try them out on some other cars. I still need to work on capturing better before pics. Anyways...onto the pics.
Bimmer took 11 hours in 2 days. Cleaned rims and tires with Mothers, Wash, Dry, Clay, 2 step polish with Menzerna pf2500 and sf4500 with orange and white pads, IPA, BFWD Sealant with blue pad, polished exhaust with Mothers, Dressed tires, 303 trim, Cleaned windows with Invisible Glass.
Finished Product
These towels are trashed after using them to clean the exhaust tips
Next up is the Kawasaki Vulcan 500cc. It was in pretty good condition except for some small smudge/scratchs on the front fairing, water spots on the metal, some grime on the engine, wheels and miscellaneous areas. Took 3.5 hours to finish with some help from the owner.
Pre-soaked with P21S total auto wash, washed with megs gold class, Megs UC on yellow pad for front fairing, followed with Menz sf4500 on white pad for rest of bike, IPA, Hand was with Megs NXT 2.0, Mothers metal polish on exhaust, engine, rims, handle bar, brake levers, 303 on seat and trim, megs hot tire shine, Invisible Glass on gauges.
Forgot to pull it back outside in the sun to get some finishing shots, so all I have are pics inside the garage.
Finally, wife was out of town for a week so I decided on giving her SUV a spring cleaning. Its was pretty dirty and in not so great condition. Swirls, dirty, scratches, paint transfers etc. Usually we just run it through the touchless car washes or let other clean it for us. Spent 5 hours on this one.
I cheated a bit, had credit for a free car wash through Groupon at one of the local businesses, so I had them wash and dry, drove it back home to get clayed, polished majority with Menz PF2500 on orange and some parts i used Megs UC with orange. IPA, hand waxed with Megs NXT 2.0. Followed up with 303 or Megs Natural Shine protectant for the plastic, rubber, vinyl, Cleaned windows with Invisible Glass.
New lease on life.
*the window washer nozzle had some etching from the window wash fluid on it that i couldn't buff out with yellow pads and megs uc or menz pf2500. Is it under the clear coat now?
Hope you guys enjoyed looking at my pics as much as I enjoyed working on the cars/bike. Let me know if you have any feedback. Thanks
