303 Protectant, streaky residue

Yesterday I detailed my car and applied 303 protectant to the dashboard and it left a streaky residue. Driving by a streetlight makes the streaky residue more apparent.
I thought the streaks meant I did not apply enough so today I put even more 303 onto my dash with a microfiber and now it looks better but the up and down motion I used to apply the 303 can be seen.

Prior to applying 303 protectant to my dashboard, my dashboard was clean looking without any streaky residue. And I cleaned the dashboard before the 303.

I have 1Z Cockpit premium also, would this be better to use on the dash? I don't want any streak marks or any marks at all on my dashboard.

Pics comin soon.

Yvuru, it just looks like (from the pics) that these are areas that you possibly didn't reach with the 303 Protectant. I would reapply the Protectant and see what happens.

By the way, please be sure to join our Silver TL Social Group.

Thats what I thought it was yesterday night and today I went ahead to apply even more 303. I am still left with streaks. Pictures are from today after the additional 303 treatment.

Would 1Z cockpit premium be better for this application? (UV Protection)

BTW already in the Silver TL group.

It's best if you don't apply them in the sun (not sure if you did that or not) and make sure you do a second pass with a clean MF towel to remove any remaining residue that remains. You just have to be sure that you're evenly applying the 303 AP.

I cleaned it with water and a microfiber cloth. The dash wasn't dirty to begin with but I just wanted to put some UV protection onto it and now I am stuck with this.

It really looks like residue from a previous product prohibited the 303 from settleing in......Take a warm water moistened MF, spray 303 on it, then wipe in.

Awesome advice Patrick it worked beautifully. I will go over it again tomorrow to make sure there will be no streaks. As of right now its looking alot better.

Would the 1Z Cockpit premium I bought from your store be better for this? If I wanted to clean off the 303 and reapply it what would I use to get rid of the 303?

I think the 1z Cockpit Premium would be strong enough to remove the 303.

Initial applications on a never applied before surface sometimes require a little thinning of the product, thus allowing easier penetration. May need an additional application though. It will even out eventually. Dashes on Acuras are like no other, i swear!!!!

I dont know what it is around that area adjacent to the passenger seating on the dash. Thats the problem area with Acuras, dressings/protectants never seem to blend rea well in that rae. Theres always a light ring around the air bag!

I haven't had the guts to use Armorall - so many reviews on it attracting dust I've always stuck with Aero303. I'll be anxious to hear your thoughts on the 1Z because I'd consider switching over.
