2008 Subaru Impreza STI- Paint Correction
Hi everyone.
As the title says, I detailed a 2008 Subaru Impreza STI. I don't have many before shots because the customer brought the car to me a bit late in the day, so I wanted to get working on the car as soon as I could because he needed the car back rather quickly. I only got couple of shots of the condition of the paint.
The car wasn't in horrible condition but it did have a good amount of swirling and some water spots. And I must say, this paint is a PITA to correct. Even using a certain type of microfiber towel, you can swirl the paint again while taking off the polish residue! But I got the right pad and polish combination, and found the right microfiber towels to use.
I used the Meguiars 205 (for the first time, and it's great!) along with LC Pads. I used the 205 with the orange LC pad and then the 205 with the white LC pad. It worked like a charm. I used Klasse Sealant (for the first time also) and I really liked the results. It took me 16 hours to do the correction.
Ok enough talking, time for pictures.
Swirl shots:
Test panel.
Some 50/50 shots: (This is after just the first polish)
Some final shots:
Pic of the ass!
Picture quality is not the best, but it should do.
Thanks for looking.

^ Thanks.
Yea, it was my first time using the Meguiars products so I wanted to see what the M205 was capable of. And to my surprise, it has some really good cutting power. Matched with the orange LC pad, it basically removed all the swirls with the first pass. I just used the white LC pad with the M205 to get those mini scratches and stuff out.
And I use the PC 7427xp.
