07 NHB TSX Detail help

Hey guys, I just recieved my 07 NHB TSX for my birthday a few months ago, and Im just baffled at how much it takes to maintain such a beauty of a car. I made the mistake on washing it and re-using towles and i have built up pretty heavy swirl marks. When i took the car to the local carwash he said i had a really good car wax allready on the car, so what im wondering is.. how do i get rid of these swirl marks? Should i go ahead and strip the wax and go with a new type? I have been looking at meguiars products and seem to love the hot tire shine by them. Please help me if you know anything of the matter. The car is black, and it sucks to keep cleaning it, but i guess thats what you get with a NHB =D

I own a black car, swirl control is pretty difficult if you do not have a detailing machine, wether it's a UDM(ultimate detailing machine) or PC(porter cable).

There's lot to talk about but i suggest reading EVERYTHING you can lay your eyes on, from proper washing techniques, and drying techniques, once you get good with that you will notice a drastic decrease in swirls. That's all I got for now.

More will chime in.

Swirls can be removed by using an abrasive type polish and unfortunately it will also remove any previous layer of wax/sealant. After polishing, you will need to apply a fresh coat. Surface defects can be removed by hand but for the best results, recommend using a machine (UDM or PC) as suggested above. As far as products go, you can check out this thread to see what some of the members prefer. This thread lists popular online detail sites and product manufacturers.

Here are my Basic suggestions:

Soap - ANY auto soap, I'm not a believer in dawn / dish soaps.
Drying Towel - Waffle Weave Micro Fiber (buy a quality one)
Quick Detailer - Duragloss Aqua Wax
Polish - Optimum line (only stuff I've really used, and it's nice)
Sealant - Duragloss #111 (over the counter sealant, can be purchased @ carquest)

Good luck.
