05 Interlagos Blue Metallic M3 paint correction
Hey Everyone, Just finished this one last night. It was in pretty bad shape even though the owner never took it through an automatic car wash. Ok well this one I worked with a Fellow Autopian Detailer. Thank goodness too because it still took us about 15 hours to complete for a total of 30 working hours. We used everything on this one. We used the UDM, Flex 3401, Makita Rotary. The Flex XC-3401, with M105 and 106ff/fa, Lake Country Yellow, orange and white foam pads, Silver Wool and PFW pads and the Makita 9227 Rotary with the PFW pad, Black Wool pad, SIP, M105, 3m Extra Cut Compound, 106ff. The car of course was washed and Clayed prior to polishing. Questions/Comments always welcome

We did some Paint thickness Measurements as there were several really deep scratches, especially on the trunk, Hood and Roof. The trunk had a chain dropped on it at the dealership which caused some pretty deep defects. Using the Paint Meter we were able to determine how much clear we could safely level without sacrificing the UV protection and the clear coat itself. Some of the defects were simply too deep but after about 2 ½ hours on the trunk most of the scratches were gone.

And Now for the Afters! Sorry they are in no particular order. Unfortunately it was late at night when we finished so I do not have any outdoor “Sun” Pictures. Hopefully the owner will be kind enough to send us some.

Brother, that looks awesome. Even from the inside pictures, it seems to look just like it's rolling off the showroom floor.

THANK YOU GENTLEMEN! It was a nice payday after this one
Yes Thomas and I worked on this one together. We have done 3 cars together now. Unfortunately he is about to move out of the area He's a pleasure to work with.
