"The Absorber"..best drying towel i ever used.

I just bought "The Absorber" at Pep Boys for $9.99. I own a Black Type-S and anyone who has ever had a black car knows what a whore it is to dry let alone keep clean. This towel cut my time in half when drying my car. NOT ONE SPOT left on my car. Shiny as ever, even better than before when i would use a buffing towel after drying. It is a synthetic material that sucks up every last drop of water on the surface....I recommend it to anyone who takes the time and effort to clean your car. Especially with a black car!...try it out and let me know what you think.

My absorber is 10+ years old. Make sure you keep the container it came in. Simply wring it out and roll it back up and put it in its house for next Saturday. When it gets really dirty, throw it in the washer and air dry it. It will last forever.

this kind of sounds like a synthetic chamois, which i use first and then finish with a regular towel. how is this different?

It's not. That's what it is but show me a chamois that lasts 10 years...

I have gone through so many damn Chamois and Tiger Rags and what not, and then I spotted this at Wal-Mart for $9. I was skeptical...you see a name as corny as "the Absorber", but I figured what the hell.... Well, this thing is awesome! Really dries the car out nicely without any spots at all. I like the fact that it comes in it's own container and can be stored wet.

The "P21S SUPER-ABSORBING DRYING TOWEL" is $9.00 from Car Care Online, and is very similar. You wash it, when you get it, then rinse. From then on, wipe the car, rinse, and just store it in its plastic container.

I use the P21 along with the Cali. Water Blade, and I get ALL the water off the car with no water spots.

Here is the link to the P21 version (non-spotting, non-streaking, ...):

I use one, well actually TWO myself.
My older one (about 5-years) is pretty dirty with gunk that won’t came out anymore so I sprung for a new RED one to match the car.
I still use the old one for drying the wheels and exhaust tips.

Highly recommended.

WATCH OUT!!

If a piece of dirt or something gets caught on it it will DRAG IT ALONG and scratch up the paint!!!!

I know this from personal experience

That's why you clean the car first! A terry towel can do the same if the car has dirt on it! Ever wipe down a dirty car?

Before/After each drag, always snap the absorber to make sure it has no dirt stuck to it. Also, if you leave it in its "house" for a while, it'll stink badly!

Just bought one yesterday. Still not too sure about it. I seem to be wiping the SAME areas over and over. With the towel, one wipe and it's completely dry. Used it again today and still undecided. It does suck though!
