How tall are you?

I’m 6' 4" and I fit into my TL comfortably. I was wondering if the customer base was Tall, short or average.

JetJock 09-21-2004 08:20 AM

I'm 5'9"....137lbs....and I fit just fine in my TL...it feels like sitting in the sofa at home...only better cause it tilts

bradjs 09-21-2004 08:27 AM

6'4 for me as well. Have been very happy with the way i fit.

criss 09-21-2004 09:01 AM

6' 6" and I fit....The only issue is related to my old beat up knees but I have the same problem in any car and I am not ready to switch a truck or SUV yet.

VTEC=happiness 09-21-2004 09:07 AM

6'2"

hbreiden 09-21-2004 10:05 AM

I am 6'5" and fit very comfortably in the TL. I went to the Acura dealer to test drive the TSX, but did not fit well. I was originally looking at the G35 because of the RWD, but did not fit in the car. I also do not fit in the BMW 3 series.

BIGFISH 09-21-2004 10:34 AM

So far we have a majority over 6'... Come one shot people, Where are you guys at?

cM3go 09-21-2004 10:36 AM

wow you guys are tall, I'm 5'8" :(

csunracer 09-21-2004 10:38 AM

I'm 6'10" and 265 lbs and I fit pretty well. And no I don't play in the NBA ;) I feel sorry for anybody who has to sit behind me though.

Gorron 09-21-2004 10:47 AM

6' 2" and I fit comfortably, only thing that bothers me is when I open my window down all the way my arm cannot rest comfortably on the window opening.

EMF213 09-21-2004 11:01 AM

5' 11" very comfy.

Xpditor 09-21-2004 11:08 AM

Tall tales

I'm only 5' 14". :D And 185 (most days). I just got back from an 800 mile tour of Florida. Only once or twice did I get a slight back ache after driving for 3 or 4 hours. I adjusted the lumbar support to a different position, straightened the seat back a little and I was good to go.

For all those naysayers re: FWD, most of whom don't actually own and drive a TL: SHUT UP! This car handles great! I had to dodge lots of hurricane debris (X3) in the roadway. I was amazed at the quick and nimble handling of the TL at speed. My other car is a BMW. I'm not easily impressed.

Since this thread is specifically talking about the 2004 TL seats, I will leave it here for now.

6' 6" coming out of an SUV and couldn't be happier. Just have to get used to the recline.

I looked at the Inifiniti G and I and had to convince the saleswoman to get off her fat butt just to let me sit in those cars. (She already knew, no way I was squeezing into those things). Suffice it to say I got the Acura.

AA7483 09-21-2004 11:29 AM

6'3 and very comfortable

U8INIT 09-21-2004 12:05 PM

5" 10 165lbs, but my right knee seems to cramped.

donkeykang 09-21-2004 12:25 PM

6'1 i fit comfortably except my hair hits the top of the car sometimes

SilverJ 09-21-2004 12:58 PM

6'4'' 210
I fit great in my TL. Most comfortable car I have ever driven.

Parrothead 09-21-2004 01:06 PM

I'm 6'4". I'm in a habit of always adjusting a seat all the way back in most cars so that I can fit my legs in comfortably, but when I test drove the TL I was amazed to discover that I did not need to go all the way back to fit. There was still room to go! I was, however, dissapointed by the back seat headroom. My head contacted the headliner. In the TSX it did not.

DallasTL 09-21-2004 01:15 PM

6' even and I fit just fine.

zeezz 09-21-2004 01:17 PM

6'2" and i fit very well, better than i do in the 5th Gen Camry (current).

RhodeRunner 09-21-2004 01:36 PM

6'4" and a former G35 owner. Sold the G35 because I couldn't find a comfortable seating position. Happy with the TL.

xlilbluux 09-21-2004 01:39 PM

will i be to short if im 5'5"?

shelder 09-21-2004 02:27 PM

6'1" and still trying to convince my wife that I "need" the TL.

berlinrl 09-21-2004 02:30 PM

5'4" and very comfortable in the car

narnia 09-21-2004 02:43 PM

I'm 5'5" and I have to raise the seat almost as high as it goes.

About the only thing I don't like about this car is that the height of the passenger seat can't be adjusted. I feel like I'm looking down on my companions!

Magoomba 09-21-2004 02:47 PM

I'm 5'8".

My wife's 5'3".
Would she be able to drive the TL?

Who Cares!? It's better off for you if she can drive it. Yesterday my mother had to take my TL to the store. I almost vomited and fainted from the anxiety.

Teh Jatt 09-21-2004 04:03 PM

5'9"

Road Rage 09-21-2004 04:05 PM

6'1" 200 #'s.

BIGFISH 09-21-2004 06:00 PM

well that does it. A majority of the TL owners are over 6'.... Now what does that mean?

VelfarreClubber 09-21-2004 06:11 PM

Dunno im amazed myself, im 6'3 1/2 250lbs (line backer build) and seats are very comfortable.

LesinSD 09-21-2004 06:12 PM

I'm 6'5"
Tall people have good taste.

mwm 09-21-2004 06:21 PM

6' 248 lbs. I fit fine in my TL. This is my 3rd TL.

Dutchml 09-21-2004 06:31 PM

6'3" and have plenty of headroom left over.

Tajam 09-21-2004 07:07 PM

6'4

Dr.Murdock 09-21-2004 07:53 PM

im 6'0 but have like 2 inches of headroom left. I never saw so many tall people in one place. 6'4, 6'5, 6'10...?

tigetech 09-21-2004 08:02 PM

6'2 and have no problems.. very comfortable.. now I just want to see if I have the same problems as some with the leather...

ltflint 09-21-2004 09:14 PM

6'5" mostly legs. My right knee has to rest against the console and this can get uncomfortable during long trips, but not too bad. My e39 BMW had a bit more room for me to stretch my legs out. It also had less power.

Salut 09-21-2004 10:22 PM

6 feet tall
300 + lbs...

And yes I fit both ways...

:D :D :D

alextclam 09-21-2004 10:35 PM
