Man, I discovered this the other day and it made my day. The week before I had purchased some dark window tint to put a 4-inch strip along the top of the window, but hadn't gotten around to doing it yet.

I was driving down the road the other day with the sun hitting me in the corner of my eye, thinking "what else could I do about this problem? Maybe attach something on the end of this visor to extend it or, jeez, it would be nice if it just extended out, but how would you do that..." I pulled on it and violla! holy shit. I laughed my ass off and couldn't wipe the pleased grin off my face for ten minutes.

Goo Gone will take them off. That is the only way. Aplly on a sponge and keep soaking the stickers. They will slowly dissolve.

Wow, are you sure Goo Gone will not dissolve visor fabric along with sticker?
I was looking for a way to remove my airbag warning stickers, tried peeling it off but to no avail...just made it look worse on one corner.

Would there be any visible spots left after the sticker is dissolved and how to remove them?
Thanks

Great info! I need help with the windows all up/down thing, though. I can get it to work with the fob when you press & hold unlock, but I don't understand what it means when you're saying keep the key in the off or on position to put all windows up or down? Can someone help me out with that one?

Oops, nevermind, I thought it was using the steering column cylinder "off" and "on", just figured out its the door key "lock" and "unlock." Pretty cool!

I searched this thread but could not find this mentioned. Applies to the AT. As far as I know only the '07 TL-S, but it's easy to assume all 3G AT TL's.

If you are in, say, a mall parking lot and have the car in the Sport Shift mode, it keeps dropping into 1st gear when you stop, etc. Then you have to shift into 2nd to "cruise" the parking lot.

However, if while at a full stop, you upshift to 2nd, from that point forward (until you manually shift to a lower or higher gear) the car will stay in 2nd. It won't down shift into 1st by itself when you stop.

Of course, you could always slap the shift knob into D and not worry about it at all.

yes it does! There is the cut out in the top tray to thread the charger cable thru but there is also a groove closest to the driver side where the lift tabs are. u thread your cable thru there and voila...the cell phone can easily rest on the close cup holder lid.

I'm not sure if I would classify this as a "feature", but today I went to start my '07 TL-S and released the key too early for the car to start. It actually kept cranking for about another second or two until it started! BY ITSELF! This has happened twice now.
Any of y'all had this happen to you?
It felt a little weird.

As a side note, I would like to have the ability to start moving in SECOND gear to aid traction on snow/ice with the automatic transmission.

Just not when it's raining. Or worse, when the car is covered with snow!

Yep that's how it works. I've made it a habit - Turn forward to "initiate" the starter and let go - the car "starts" itself. Our dealer showed us this one.

Not on my 04'. Must be something newer. I remember this because I disengaged
the starter prematurely this weekend and the car required a second cranking to start

it means when you put the key in the key slot and turn it to lock position and hold it there..all the windows will go up.

Make sure you are near the car as you can't put them back up with the remote, to put them back up, you have to put the key in the driver door key slot and turn it to lock to close them or unlock to open the windows/roof

I'm pretty sure this hasn't been discussed before. For those people with Navi, if you HOLD DOWN on the zoom in or zoom out button on your map screen, it will slowly zoom in or out gradually and you just let go of the zoom button on a zoom level that is desirable to you. Yeah Baby!

Driver Mirro 2006 TL in Reverse

I just discovered if you move the mirror left/riight toggle button to the left and put the car in reverse it moves the mirror down so you can see more to the floor, it pops back to normal once you put the car in drive again. sweet !

If you move the toggle button to the right the driver's side mirror will move instead.

I read all of the pages on this. I ma actually more excited to own my Acura then when I bought it used a year ago. Thanks to everyone on their find. Whats funny is that the dealer probably does not know half of the stuff that we find and the sales people just want that quick sale so they do not take the time to learn this stuff either.

2 things that I just found out, i have had my car only about a month.
1) The center console has a light inside of it that lights up when the headlights are on

2) Although I have not been able to figure out an automatic headlights on feature, if you leave the headlights on and lock the car, the headlights go off immediately! Pretty cool.
Then, when you get back in, the lights come back on.

I guess this isn't really a "feature", but it's something I just noticed the other day. When I put my car in reverse, the memory seat light goes out. When its in park, neutral, or drive, it comes back on.
Anyone know why that is?

Edit: I read this entire thread, and there are A LOT of repeats in it.

i just read this whole thing and i didnt see anyone mention how when you have ur wipers on intermittent (sp?) and you are stopped...as soon as you let off the brake they will go, regardless of whether the time interval was due to go or not. i guess it's to assure you have a clean windshield once you start moving. i think its great.

everyone knows the steering wheel channel switch changes tracks on the CD player. I just discovered that if you hold the switch down, it changes discs instead.

Intermittent wipers slow down when you come to a stop.

Blinker will quit clicking if still blinking after about 15 seconds or so. Rather nice if you're in a parking lot and someone won't GO!

Something I found out the other day, which I'm sure is mentioned in the manual, is when I was getting out of my car for work in the morning, there was a good song on the radio, so I sat there and listened to all of it with the key in the ACC position. After the song was over, I turned the key to the OFF position, gathered up my stuff, opened my driver's door and pressed the lock button on the door, as I always do when I get out. The switch didn't lock the doors. I pressed it again and it still didn't work. Thought maybe the switch broke and then that's when I finally heard the chiming meaning the key was still in the ignition. Good safety feature. Definitely saved me some headache and trouble from locking myself out of my car.

idk if anyone's posted this yet but i found if you're using your key to lock and unlock the doors, turn it to the right or left twice and your windows will go up and down;
so you left windows open you don't need to climb into your car and close them

I just read this whole thread and don't recall seeing this mentioned: if you accidentally leave your parking lights on (not headlights or driving yets), and then lock and leave your car, the lights will go off by themselves after about 10 seconds.

Pretty cool, as I've drained many a battery making this mistake in the past.
