245 or 255 tire for 18x9.5 +38 on Aspec suspension?

I've scoured pages of search results but I still can't find anyone with the same situation. I'm on MT Aspec suspension so my drop is 1" at most. will a 255 tire be ok?

here's 245's on 18x9.5's +22's on Aspec suspension.

i bought the wheels with the 245s on them. I hate them and will move to a beefier tire when the time comes.

basically, 245s or 255s is a personal preference.

I enjoy my cars with a beefy tire.

Tire sizes can vary for looks but just make sure you actually make proper contact with the road. Too wide and you'll have uneven wear. Also slightly on the wider side is a good thing. Better heat dissipation occurs with a wider tire and can aid in tire life. Measure how close you are to the fender currently and then decide on how wide you want to go.

Thanks for all the pics. I appreciate it! Bottom line is, are you rubbing on bumps with the 245's? I know your wheels stick out 16mm more than mine, so if you're fine with 245's, I'll definitely get the 255's because I'm not a fan of the stretched look.

I only rubbed on the left rear wheel because my shock was damaged and it wasnt compressing.

the fronts hit the bumper tab, but that's easily solved by taking a grinder to the little tab.

i decided to go coilovers instead of fixing that one shock.

Ack! If that's the case, going with a 255 might rub for me since that would only put me approximately 6mm more inwards than yours. With the differences in different tire brands and models, I don't know if that would be enough to solve the rubbing.

I may just play it safe and get 245s so I'm 16mm more inwards. Looking at the chart for Michelin Pilot Super Sports, 245s are actually within spec for a 9.5" wide wheel with a section width of 9.8" and tread width of 9". That shouldn't really look too stretched (yes I know this isn't even considered stretched by most people here).
