Exclamation Would you pay $12k for this TLS?

2007 Type-S Auto with 91k miles. I'm considering buying this car but I've heard bad things about the automatic trans. Do the 07/08 TL's have better trans than the 04-06?

The consensus around here is the 2007-2008 transmissions are rather more robust than the earlier 3G automatics, however, neither approach the reliability of the manuals. As for price, I've seen TL Type-S automatics with similar mileage go from anywhere between $10,000 and $14,000 over the last year, so that car is definitely in the ballpark.

Agreed, that guy has no hope of even coming close to his asking price.

I would pay that # for the right car. ex: My TL-S has 50k miles, garaged and I am the original owner, 12k would not be enough to own my car.
