Window visors from H.I.C USA

Hey everyone,

Been contemplating purchasing these visors from H.I.C.

I know many members have bought the rear window spoiler with awesome results.

Just wondering if anyone has bought and installed these and how they are?

Thanks in advance:thumbsup:

so is that 50 for all 4?

vietxquangstah 11-01-2015 05:33 PM

Those look very nice for the price.

Back when i had visors on my TL i would tell people to do OEM or nothing. Aftermarket ones never extended to the small 3rd window

But i see times have changed and there are companies making visors that look almost like oem for a fraction of the price.

oem ones are like $145

guitarplayer16 11-01-2015 06:50 PM

I'd say go for it.
They look close to OEM, and costs 1/3 of the OEM price.

I havn't seen them on any TLs besides the one they have on the website, so don't expect many (if any) people to comment on it

oh yeah, I wouldn't say the rear spoiler had great results - almost all of them have a sagging issue in the middle :whyme:

Oh Sickest TL 11-01-2015 06:55 PM

im gonna buy these too!

guitarplayer16 11-01-2015 07:00 PM

at first glance, they really do look OEM

Agree, these look very close to OEM.

Checking out their rear visor, looks the nicest I've seen, it's sold out. Would've picked up that style, looked sharp.

the rear spoiler had a sagging problem that the company was aware of, so they're working on a new one

really good company to deal with :toocool:

jthiessens 11-01-2015 08:23 PM

Do the factory ones stick on also, from the pics it looks like these do.

guitarplayer16 11-01-2015 08:28 PM

Yes, the factory ones stick on, but they also have tabs that hang under the seal. These ones just stick on.

Those look pretty good for non-OEM. I say go for it!

Yup looks like that's the grand total for all 4. I think im going to pull the trigger on these, its getting to be very wet here in Vancouver and it sucks having water come inside, plus adds to the look of the car

Thanks everyone for the input

GOOSEej 11-02-2015 06:17 PM

they look good.. Would like to see in person.. Hmmm very tempting!

MyGuti 11-03-2015 01:23 PM

I ended up purchasing these, will update once installed :)

You can take a cube of sugar to rub the logo off too without damaging the plastic itself.

I don't like logos.

Oh Sickest TL 11-03-2015 03:54 PM

wow thanks PB.. So just a straight up cube of sugar and rub along the logo??. I just bought these too lol.

MyGuti 11-03-2015 05:48 PM

Oh Sickest TL 11-03-2015 06:11 PM

Yup pretty much. I use it for a lot of silk-screened logos... I really don't like them. The cube of sugar acts as a very mild abrasive and over time erases the logo but doesn't scratch most plastics.

As usual, test in inconspicuous area. Uglier than a logo is a scratched area. :tomato:

If that doesn't work, second step is jeweler rouge.

was there a promo code or something?

MyGuti 11-04-2015 05:05 PM

I got shipping for free :S, and I also had a promo code. Paid just over 60 CAD, 62.48 to be exact lol

MyGuti 11-04-2015 05:06 PM

also would depend on what your credit card's exchange rate is......

Oh Sickest TL 11-04-2015 05:08 PM

how do u get free shipping and whats the promo code? the ppl want to know lol

MyGuti 11-05-2015 12:29 AM

shipping was free when I chose fedex ground to lower 48 states, didn't need a promo for that. However, their customer service team did apply a promo code to this order, they had messed up a previous order for my tsx (stated order had shipped, I waited for almost two weeks, turns out it was out of stock the whole time)

MyGuti 11-10-2015 01:22 AM

got around to installing these yesterday. Come exactly as advertised and super easy to install, took all about 10 min for all 4. Weather is crap here atm, will update with pics in a few.

doughboyTL6spd 11-10-2015 08:53 AM

So comparing them to the oem visors what the major difference between the two? Is it outside mount vs inchannel mount?

quanaman 11-11-2015 12:20 PM

TL-Syndicate23 11-12-2015 10:01 AM

awesome news

does anyone know what they changed with the new one?
pics look the same, i thought they promised a new improved design or something.

If it took them over half a year just to test new material, damn.
