Will This Buff Out?

Let me preface to say, I was being a dumbass for racing and this was the result of my stupidity. It ended up that I had understeered around a corner on a wet road and I ended up over correcting after fish tailing to begin with. I ended up hopping a median, hitting a tree sideways, and then it spun me around on the other side of the road. I'm just thankful there were no oncoming cars on the other side where I had landed. I was hoping I could salvage the exhaust.

Bring on the flame as I deserve it. I'm currently looking for a replacement, but I'm hoping to find a UA7 Type-S after hearing how much my insurance will give me for this.

Onto the pictures . . .

A SMART car.

Nah, it was a VW GTI. The guy was actually nice enough to stop and ask if I was OK and if I needed his info. I told him that he can go since it wasn't his fault.

From what I could see when I had looked underneath, the muffler looked to be pretty bent.

I find it funny how some people have smart remarks because I'm sure everyone on this forum has raced on the streets before. It could have easily been one of you. Anyways, At least you're okay and good luck with the insurance.

I don't think it was smart posting that this happened racing. Insurance companies are on forums checking these things out now. I know because a friend of mine does that for GEICO.

he asked for it literally. re-read the OP.

Doesnt deserve it? How about driving slower and not racing? would this have happened then? Chances are nope. He did deserve it as a result of his actions. It's not like he accidentally raced a GTI. Sometimes people dont realize when they do stupid crap they're gambling with their car.

the people that didnt deserve it would have been the people he flew into had there been oncoming traffic. Imagine another AZ member casually driving the other direction and the OP flew into him totaling both cars. You'd bet people would be up in arms about it.

Yep, the passenger seat had deployed along with the side curtains as you can see. Yes, black interior.

I've already admitted and you know what they say about admitting you have a problem

I didn't realize the road was wet until I had rounded the corner. It was from the run-offs from the sprinkler system, but that doesn't excuse my stupidity . . . I admit that. As for a more powerful car, yeah, that would definitely scared the crap out of me more.

Well, people have their opinions. Their criticisms are correct when we do boneheaded things like this.

You're right. I am really thankful that there were no other cars coming on the side of the road when this had happened. I don't know what I would've done had I injured other innocent parties. This has really put things into perspective for me.

I know he said it, doesn't mean we have to put more salt on the wound. Just cause he says hes OK with it, doesn't mean everyone can't have some integrity as he admitted that it was his fault (at the same time, you're paying attention in what he was doing wrong, instead of actually thinking about HIS condition). In a sense, he did deserve it, but my problem is how it is being said. Almost like saying, hey you smoke, 10 years later, you died from cancer, but hey you deserved it (catch my drift? even though its obvious-- its disrespectful).
