Where the %&$* is the clutch master cylinder??

Stupid question maybe, and I am feeling kind of dumb asking it, but I do not know the location of the clutch master cylinder. The reason I ask, my ex-wife dropped off her 2005 TL with a six-speed at my house after basically giving up on it. Car won't go into gear while running. Clutch itself only has 20k on it. I think the master cylinder is leaking and might be the culprit. The reservoir was empty and if I can fill it and bleed it and it works, then I will at least know that's the problem. I have looked all over this site and have seen numerous threads about bleeding the system, but never the actual location. I need to know where the bleed screw is so I can at least take a whack at it. If it's back up against the firewall under the windshield cowl, what all needs to be removed to get to it? Even my Haynes manual is useless when telling me where it is.
If anyone has a simple answer, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
jb

it locate right outside the firewall where your clutch pedal mounting, you will have to loosen up the fuse box on the struts brace bar. There is two line that run under the battery tray the manual call to remove the battery and airbox (I am not sure this is necessary) But I will scan you the service manual tomorrow.

Damn modern cars are starting to use more and more plastic covers in the engine bay to cover EVERYTHING up. You need to remove the cover in the drivers-side firewall corner of the bay then you'll see it.

Yep, I saw this thread, unfortunately, it doesn't really answer the question as to where the bleeder is and whether and how it can be done while it's in the car. Some of the pictures don't load, I don't know if they would show what I was looking for.
Thanks, tho.

In all fairness your title asks where the CMC is, and you never really directly asked where the bleeder is in your post, so we were all answering the question in your title lmao

The bleeder is on the slave cylinder, which is right next to the front motor mount. I've bled mine the typical two-man method; pump three times and hold, crack open/closed bleeder.... repeat.

Touche, my friend. I should have know after being on this site for, what, six years, that no one actually reads the post. In the post I say "I need to know where the bleed screw is so I can at least take a whack at it." Should have known no one would read the damned text of the thread.... Oh well, thanks for telling me where it is!
