Purchase the Telephone Assy., Hands Free module that goes in the overhead console. Pick one of the following to match your interior color:
39770-SEP-A02ZB Light Tan
39770-SEP-A02ZC Light Cream Ivory
39770-SEP-A02ZA Moon Lake Gray
The color of the interior trim piece was too far from my interior so I took out the module and placed it in mine. Problem solved. If your BT module stopped working, this is likely your issue. Yes, it's expensive ($174 at oemacuraparts) but it's worth it.

We finally agree on something lol. I'm going for 20 years. When the car was new I told my niece she could have it on her 16th birthday thinking it would be falling apart by then. That was this year and it's still practically new even though it has 124,000 miles. I don't see why 20 years would not be possible.
I've also used one brand of oil for its whole life so when I tear it down before it goes to the junkyard I'll have some sort of testimonial as to how good or bad that oil works.

Yeah, 200K and probably 300K are possibly for a 3G TL.
I've had great results with Castrol for engine oil (5w-20 syn.).
Also using Honda OEM antifreeze, GM MTF, and Prestone synthetic DOT3 brake fluid which have worked pretty well.

05, 160k -- no major problems (as in its never stalled and the engine or transmission hasn't broken). Original owner, although my parents have been using it for the past two years as I've moved to NYC. Hopefully one day I'll be able to reclaim it and get it to 200k.

I just did my 140k oil change. Got a 2008 TL base. Had to change out the belt tensioner pulley and the idler pulley when I bought the car with 8x,xxx miles. The pressure hose on the power steering also sprung a leak and I had replaced, however afterward it was an official recall. At just after 100k had to replace spark plugs which is normal. Put in some NGK platinums. The car had a K&N air filter when I bought it so I cleaned it. Water pump and timing belt was replaced about 20k ago. The only other problem I have had was from the battery causing loads of corrosion on my terminals. Put in a duralast gold and new terminals, easy fix. Just recently rolled front fenders and put on spacers. I have tein s.tech lowering springs (1.3") and truhart lowering shocks. I have not had any other serious issues other than usual maintenance. Love the ride and soon I'm getting new rims.

124K miles on my '04 TL w/Navi, (original owner) running great!
I've had the front bumper paint problem, cracked dash, the wiper motor go out, HFL go out (three times), and the Acura battery fail while under warranty 4 times, lol.
And I still LOVE my TL.

things which have failed on me:
1> couple HVAC bulbs on the inside
2> rear caliper
3> my ingalls front camber kit seems to have some play...but I was running neg camber up front ....
OVERALL, am very satisfied (knocks on wood)

I'll cross 164K miles later today on my 08. I've been driving less.
I need to do a B15 Service and the it needs to go into the body shop to do some repairs for some stone damage. New wind shield and repaint the front end.

Sitting at 103,5xx.
105k service due very soon.
So far, no major problems. I've had a motor mount and my axles replaced under warranty and my navi is dead. That's it. I still love the TL.

I've had it for about 3 years almost. Got it at 170k. Last owner did full tune up before handing it over, had all paperwork from Acura Dealership. And the trans I think I have to do soon. Only maitenence I've done is just oil change and resurface the rotors

^^^ by HVAC indicators you mean the bulbs under the HVAC buttons or the HVAC buttons on the touch screen?

HVAC on touchscreen? I don't think my 08 TL-S has that capability... unless its a navi hack. so yah, confirm although i'm thinking u mean the actual push button hvac controls... voice control should be able to provide secondary control?

^^ wow I thought you could control the HVAC from the Navi screen in the newer RDX's....if not my bad
in that case RDX_Dad just needs some bulbs and not a new Navi unit...

^ problem with the LED display, they love to quit working (remember 2003 accords where the large display would blank out?)

It's crazy. The HVAC indicators on the top LED strip that shows vent position, whether it is in automatic mode or not and the set temperature do not light up but the other info like radio station and clock work. The LED indicators for recirculating, front defog and dual mode don't work.
The dealer traced the problem to the connector that connects to the NAVI unit saying that it is loose causing an intermittent (though it is off 99.99% of the time) connection. They recommend picking up a used NAVI unit to remedy it because of the cost of a new one.
I haven't had a chance to take a look myself to see if I can hard wire the connection but it's ludicrous. Voice control is my best friend here...
