What's the mileage on your 3G? Still going strong?
#1601
2008 TL original owner 31,935 miles....still original brakes and tires. Looking like I'll be getting new tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+) because the Tirerack rebate is too good to pass up. This year however even the people at the dealer were surprised with my original tires that look mint with zero cracking and full tread. Guess being garage-kept counts for something. oh and still has the new-car smell as well...

The “Best” Michelin tire for summer tire I’ve found is the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. You can get a set for $875 at Costco with install and TPMS sensors.

Here's pictures taken today showing current mileage 31954 and date code on tires.... I wonder if I'm the last 3G TL with original tires?? I've never had the car aligned and even the last time the tires were rotated was 2012. Car tracks straight as an arrow. Each time I change the oil I look over underneath and it's dry as a bone with no leaks.
I need to take an exterior picture but it looks like the white base TL in the previous family picture of TLs except mine has the mirror solar tinted windows and no front license plate required in Oklahoma.

Your story reminds me of a set of 04-06 wheels I almost bought last week as winters for the type-s. Of course, on the day of pickup I remember to ask the manufactured date and he said they were from 06 lol. But the tread still looked amazing (in pics).
And your mileage is stupid low. I hope you plan to drive it into the ground

Just hit 105K on my 6MT Type S. I also just picked it up today from my mechanic who replaced the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, seals, serpentine belt, pulleys and fixed a small leak on the oil pump. It's crazy how much quieter she is now. She's purring. It's kind of weird how much I missed my car while it was in the shop for those two days lol

update to the story........Got the new tires and TPMS sensors put on. Sweet tires. The TPMS display showed '0' at all 4 tires till I started driving and all 4 tire pressure readings showed up in about 200' (5 seconds) of driving. I notice all 4 readings are 2 psi off but I know there are TPMS calibration options in the service menu on the nav screen so I'll have to get to that next time I drive it. All works better and easier than I thought it would be. more updates to come.

Okay, ~ 100K mileage difference. I get it. Also see you have the rare 8.5" A-Spec rims. I have them too -

I love visiting this thread every now and then.... it confirms in my mind what a great car we are all driving.
