I want a new 5.0. If I didn't drive so much for work id probably have one by now. There isn't too much out there that has what the 3G has...decent power, styling, reliability, comfort, and MPGssss.

Besides my 08 TL Type S off the top of my head I would consider these vehicles:
-2012+ Lexus GS350 F Sport
-2012+ Acura TL SH-AWD Advance
-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
-C6 Z06 Corvette

I know they are all very different vehicles, but those are a few that interest me.

Not much. I prefer manuals, but sadly there aren't many cars even offered with them anymore. I think there's only half a dozen cars out now that you can even get with a V6, manual and 4 doors.

If Acura made a TSX wagon with a V6 and a 6 speed, I would be all over that.

It's pretty amazing: I can't think of any car the size of ours, with the power and handling, that gets these MPG's. I've gotten 29+mpg's my last 2 tanks. Combined city/hwy

I drove a 08 G35x and a 07 328i back to back yesterday. The 328i only had 36000 miles and I have been looking at the 3-series off and on for a few months. I really liked both cars and the BMW was a blast to drive and so well balanced. The damn car just works well. When I got into the G35 I thought much more bang for the buck. It was really nice and it drove and handled very well but overall not as balanced as the 328. But one place where it shines is the motor. My god it has some horsepower and torque. The 328 almost feels like a 70's car inside in comparison as the G35 is luxurious and well equipped. Only bitch is the MPG's. That is where I like the TL and FWD is nice in inclement weather. That was the main reason I bought the TL and its smoooooth and quiet. Overall just a nice functional car with great reliability.

When I was shopping for a daily driver, I strongly considered a TSX in addition to the TL. Given that both the TSX and TL were selling for the same price in my area, I got the TL. It's just more car than the TSX. I had also looked at an A3.
