$1300 and done in less than one day by the local Honda (Lee's Summit Honda) dealer. They said my side engine mount is shot, but they can't get the part directly and the local Acura dealer didn't stock it and would have to order it. So I ordered one from Delray today and will deal with that in a couple of weeks.

It's the same thing. Replace it, or risk it snapping. Will it snap at 106k? Doubtful. But it is climate based and usage based. No point putting off the inevitable. I highly doubt you'll see another timing belt change with that car, so just do it and forget about it.

I'm having my timing belt service done on the side with a trusted mechanic for $350 flat on top of me buying the parts. If I decide to sell the car in the future, is there any way I can document proof of the job being done? It'll be easier for a possible buyer since the start of ownership in 2015 I've kept all normal service records and what not. I'll be keeping the receipt for when I buy the parts off of Amazon for a start. I'm asking out of curiosity. Thank you.

You should have took a picture of your trusted mechanic while he was doing the job and signed the 'I did the TB' certification. Oh yea, your Amazon receipt should be fine as well.

Tried pushing it on an old BMW E30. When the belt snapped I had 7 bent valves, had to have the head redone. Forget the cable bill this month and Git 'er Done!!

The timing belt will probably be fine, but it's the hydraulic tensioner that starts leaking, loosening the tensioner pulley, which causes the belt to skip teeth and cause a BOOM. Living outside of Chicago, my hydraulic tensioner actively leaked hydraulic fluid out one winter, down the side of the oil pan, which caused me to think I had an oil leak. This was 90k miles after running the last timing belt setup. This should give you an indication of failure times. I of course changed everything out after 100k miles. There is a clear documented case of belt valves from valves hitting top of pistons when the engine gets out of sync on a 07 Accord V6. The owner had to buy a used engine and do an engine swap.
