Installed the UR pulley today. Didn't have a 6 point 1/2" socket so I tried a 3/8 to 1/2 adaptor. That didn't work.

Borrowed a 1/2" socket from my neighbor and got a 5 foot breaker bar.

Broke the bastard free. Sounded like a gunshot.

Left the wheels on and jacked the front end up just enough to get the extensions up over the tire and onto the bolt. Put the tranny in 6th gear. I think that was a little easier than the other methods (blip, brakes, etc.)

Got it on and it runs like a champ. Reset the ECU just for good measure. Noticed a significant difference in 1st and 2nd gear, a little in 3rd and less so after that. Serious rubber yo! My tires are going to hate this mod. I'm well pleased with it. Lost 8 lbs. static and who know what dynamic . Would buy again

Washed her, cleaned the interior and conditioned the seats and used aerospace 303 for all the vinyl.
Then I used a clay bar for the first time, came out really well. Who knows if the previous two owners ever used one on her lol

Technically this was yesterday but after washing the TL and 4 other cars and working yesterday, I was too lazy to post anything. Anyways, just a wash.

Don't mind the water spots on the vette. I dried it. That was over spray from car no. 5!

I can deal with the stickers as a joke...

When I got married I told my friends/family "No writing/painting on my windows, and no stuff hanging/dragging from my car".

I was relieved to only see stickers on my windows

Had to get an alignment again with a tire rotation due to running over a deer carcass in the middle of the night on the way to the national meet this past weekend.

Got my air filter changed out with an OEM replacement and swapped in some OEM windshield wiper refills. First time that I have used refills on the wipers in forever!, but the OEM blades performed well and lasted over a year.

Ouch! I've done that before . Not on my TL yet though

Installed my aspec suspension yesterday. My knees are killing me. Those end links were loads of fun.

Rides WAY better. Dropped a little bit. After the inevitible raise from dropping 400lbs. on the TL diet, it's now back to stock with the aspec kit. No longer part of the 4x4 club.

I like how we have identical cars, with basically the same mods, and basically the same end goals.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. The front isn't bad at all IMO. I had to press down the hub further than it drops without the coilover in place in order to remove the assembly. Once I figured that out the front was cake. The rear is what gave me problems. You'd think there'd be less obstacles to navigate on the rear but that's not the case. I had to end up removing the sway bar brackets and control arm (I believe that's what it's called. I'm not super familiar with suspension). Plus I stripped out the end links for the sway bar connection to the hub which I had to repair. That sucked ass. The front took 1 hour altogether. The rear took me over 3 hours alone. TLgirl wasn't kidding when she mentioned the 'labyrinth of suspension parts'. That's exactly what the rear ended up being. But I don't regret it at all. I'd do it all over again. The ride quality is improved 100%. I don't know if it's because my shocks were 80K miles old, or if the aspec kit is really that much better. Either way I'm very happy with it

Do you have a list of your current mods? Looked at your garage but only saw ninja's.

^ Schweet. I've considered PnP the IM and boring the throttle body but my holdup is having the car out of comission for however long it takes. Not to hijack the thread but where do you have it done and how long did it take? Were the gains worth the price?

NO, the gains are NOT worth the PRICE.
I bought them from swoosh.
so, not really a down time..(well on his end )

with that being said, you cannot possibly feel 5-12hp, or however much it provides.
He sold them to me at a fair and reasonable price. about the same price he paid to get them done.

But with my ECU on the way, i'm willing to bet that 5-12hp will increase.

This is what I've been doing lately. We have so many cars in the driveway I cannot always "finish" things I start so I will have washed a car (or 5) and then compound the hood or a tailgate or a side of say, the van...and come back for another portion later that day or another day. lol..

BTW (yesterday) I curbed THE SHIT out of my passenger side rear wheel!

Now, the wheels were pretty f'd when I bought the car and most of that was already there, but I was turning the corner to pull into a street side parking spot at work and I got stuck on the curb and the only way to get unstuck was to just keep going

^^^Wow, I take for granted how much I can do myself! DANG!! Nice...glad you got it all sorted out!

J.

I could keep this thread going on my own, I do something almost every single effin day. Even last night, decided my car missed the spoiler, put it back on. Used my cordless impact and broke a bolt off, so had to drill out and put in a screw with washers to keep it more secure. FKKKK. Always SOMETHING.

Also, installed and wired my rear USR sidemarkers.
