What current feature would you trade to get a NEW feature?

I know there are many people who would like some additional features on the car, but in doing so, the price would rise; hence, it would not be practical..

But, let's say that if you were to GIVE UP one feature in the TL for ANOTHER NEW FEATURE (equivalent price), then what would that feature be and what feature would you like to have?

Let's see....

I would trade the ELS system for the RL Bose system (it has MP3 playback and no stoopid tape deck)

I would trade the A-Spec kit for 30 more horses, and All Wheel drive!

The only drawback is that I don't particularly like the "look" of the RL stereo as compared to the TL, but as for "features" I'm with Nodoze2004, especially if the new system includes the street-level voice-command navigation.

As for the other... Heck... I'd trade the A-Spec kit for the AWD without the extra ponies!

Although I sure would miss the state of the art tape deck

On that note, I am thinking of engineering a cover for the tape deck, so that I dont have to look at it! Perhaps a flat black plastic cover that matches the radio bezel.......

Yeah that tape deck is something that I dont really understand. In the new Infiniti Q45's they wisely put the tape deck where it belongs, in the glove compartment. I guess I still have a few tapes around, although the only tapes that I have listened to recently are the books on tape, and even now you can get those on CD's.

I'll trade DVD sound for keyless entry and start. That would nice. I would also like the electronic steering wheel like in the RL.

I'd trade XM for a direct connect MP3 iPod input. Forget about MP3 CDs - too much of a PIA to burn them. MP3s belong on iPOds.

Count me in on the cassette deck group. I'd give that up in a heartbeat for a direct connection and classy "dock" set up for my iPod. I'd be willing to give up the "self-closing" doors, too.

to every word you say. Except that I'd want weight removed elsewhere to match the weight gain provided by AWD.

I'd trade the tape deck for a light sensor so we can have auto-on headlights.

Oh, and I'd turn off the damn beep when you open the door with the lights on. They're on a timer so its not like the battery's gonna die. That's just software so I shouldn't have to give anything up for it.

XM/Cassette for MP3 or Auxiliary input.
XM/Cassette for display of DVD-Audio menus on the Nav (and then make Nav standard).
XM/Cassette for power window lockout that doesn't disable the driver's controls too.
XM/Cassette for SH-AWD (anybody else not like this acronym?)
XM/Cassette for a complimentary copy of Discwelder Chrome with MLP encoding.
XM/Cassette for auto windows-up from keyfob.
XM/Cassette for washer fluid low indicator.
XM/Cassette for better user interface on the MID.
XM/Cassette for tilt/telescope wheel with the driver settings.

Overall a pretty short list of things that are useless to me and things I'd rather have.

Mike

- Cassette player for MP3 ability by CD's and iPod input
- TL's Navigation System for the RL's w/Traffic Avoidance
- The side mirrors for the TSX/RL's with the turn signals on them
- The Bullshitstone EL42's for ANYTHING ELSE (did that already !)
- Seats that only heat for seats that heat AND cool
- The TL's seat heater switches for the RL's as they're much harder to hit by accident
- XM for a setup that gives a choice of XM or Sirius
- Auto close windows and roof by key in driver's door for being closeable by keyfob as well (saw the thread on how to do this)

I would give up XM, the tape deck, even Bluetooth and DVD audio for 30 hp and SH-AWD. I don't own tapes, I never listen to radio so XM is useless, one of my biggest pet peeves is people talking on the phone while they drive so Bluetooth is something I won't use, and DVD audio is great, but I don't see a lot of music coming out on DVD. Oh and I'll trade my 04 seats for the ones on the 05.

I'd trade Front wheel drive for Rear wheel drive. Can't think of a good reason to have all wheel drive.

Id trade the present fog lights for fog lights low in the front grill and those lights would work independently from the head lights.

Cassette player for height-adjustable passenger's seat.

'Headlight on' warning chime for receptacle for gum wrappers.

Sport shift for AWD.

DVD audio for cooling seats.

Cargo net for for height-adjustable console arm rest.

Service minder system for fixed service intervals.

FM2 for temp display passenger can see.

Temp gauge for pictograms showing driver / passenger HVAC modes in "dual / auto" setting).

"Low" setting on seat heater control for MID selection controls on steering wheel vs. hidden on instrument cluster.

Acura buying / service experiences for those of Lexus (does ACS school the service writers to call you "bud" or "chief", or does it come naturally?).

Window / sunroof open via key for eliminating the need to hit "audio" button to display audio options on Navi touch screen every %(^%^(&^$ time you start the car.

Location of nearest Honda dealer on Navi for choice of celebrity voices (I'd like to have A-a-a-nold tell me "Continue for 2845 miles and turn left for Cali-fornia." Or Dubbya tell me, "Beware, blue state 3 miles ahead, select 'recalculate route NOW' to safely detour thru red states").

ACC football / basketball on XM for Notre Dame sports.

I could go on, but...
