I have installed everything (the harness, resistors and bulbs) as instructed and everything worked perfectly for three weeks. Now the passage side DRL is not working. I have tested the bulb itself and it works, I have checked all the connections, etc. Does anyone have the same problem?

Try it with just the bulbs then try it with the bulbs and just the resistor harness then try it with the bulbs and the main harness only. Oh and watch the pins on the harnesses because that's the main problem right now. When you go to plug the harness in the pins push out the backside.

I didn't read the whole thread...just the first page, and last 2...so excuse me if this has been answered.

What color did you guys order to match the OEM HIDs?

There's only two you can choose either 5k or 6k.

I installed mine last night. I had problems with my wiring harness, and I am in contact with V-LEDs to probably get a new one, but their customer service has been great so far.

Good news is, I installed the lights into the OEM sockets and they look great with no DRL light on the dash....so far .

Here are some pics...

Looks good I'm running them too without the harness but James over at V-LEDs says mine are only running at half power so I gotta play around with them to see what the issue is. I had it plugged in but got no lights and the drl code. Then I reversed the polarity and got very dim lights and no code. And yeah their customer service is excellent I have no complaints at all.

I was getting the same issue, no lights and the DRL code. I never tried reversing polarity, just replugged everything in over and over again. I am happy with the brightness from the OEM socket, especially for DRLs.
Lemme know if you find a solution for your harness.

I have mine like that now but one bulb is slightly brighter then the other. James told me to try using just the reissue harness and then try using just the main harness. I haven't had a chance to do it yet. Normally by now I would've flipped out about this not working correctly but James has been so helpful so I'm cool about. He had sent me a new harness to try but I'm having the same pin issue with the plugs.

You're running the DRLs without the V-LED harness? They look very bright, not half-power at all.
I received mine yesterday, but I haven't had time to hook them up. Now I am wondering whether
I even need the harness?

You know something now I'm wondering if the bulbs are actually good. I mean they do light up but not anywhere as bright as Digital's do. And we both have an "S".

Yup, no harness at all. Just bulbs in the OEM sockets.
Don't have the DRL error code either.

Just heard from James at V-LEDs. He is telling me to check the plugs to see if the pins have been pushed out of the connector. I will have to check it out when I get home from work.

That's what I don't get cause I'm running them the same way and they're not that bright. If I stand if front of the car and look at the light I can see each actual led itself and the reflection within the housing behind the bulb. Yours look almost blinding to the eye.

Yea, that is weird. Mine are very blinding to the eye I actually tried just using them as headlights early this morning, they wern't quite bright enough for that, but still way too bright to actually see the LED itself.

Here are shots during the day with the lights in the OEM socket (Don't mind the dirty car ). They are a little harder to see in bright sunlight because of the white color, but I think they still look really good.

For 100$ for a set of led bulbs/harness they sound like they have a lot of issues.

Has anyone had any issues come up with theirs lately? I'm still running them with the harness and now I have a new issue where they will turn off after awhile then come back on after awhile as well. I'm thinking out ordering the eBay harness from ijdmcartoy or what ever the name is of the seller to see if their harness solves the problem.

Nah mine cut off this is why I can't understand why it's happening. Maybe the 08 is different then the 07 I dunno.

I'm thinking about sending my entire kit back. I ran into the same issue of the pins popping out of the resistor but being no stranger to lighting, I just hardwired the suckers in. My complaint is after plugging the LEDs into the stock harness, I saw absolutely no difference / improvement in light output after throwing the the resistor and relay harnesses into the mix. I still see each individual LED on the assembly though my voltometer is saying a full 12 volts on the harness. Would have been better off buying the bulbs by themselves.

But me problem is just with the use of the bulbs. I don't have the harnesses on at all. I don't understand why their cutting off randomly.

I bought a set of 3watt CREE DRL led bulbs from vleds awhile back and they worked with no DRL error code, but flickered on and off. They finally burned out less than a month later.

Could just be that led's are not made for the drl system? Maybe?

It's been a few months since anything's been on this thread, but how have the harnesses/running with just the lights been working out for you guys?

I emailed iJDMtoy, but their response was that with their harnesses it will throw the error on some cars and not on others, not really very helpful in my opinion.

Well I got mine to work. I am however using the v-leds bulbs with ijdmtoy's harness and their working perfectly and are bright. I haven't snapped any pics but the are much brighter then just using the bulbs. I have no error code either. I did contact James over at v-leds to let him know since we were going back and forth on my issue, trust me he'll work with you if you're having issues.

I am still running with no harness (just bulbs in stock sockets), and I have had 0 issues.

No flickering, no codes, no problems.

So would you guys recommend just getting some LED bulbs by themselves or using ijdmtoy's harness?

It seems like no-one's really all that happy with the V-LED harness, but i see that they have one on their web site now, I wonder if that one is the third version.

Well the harness from v-leds was never really a drl harness, at least my thought of it wasn't. It looks more like it was an altered hid harness. When I spoke to James at v-leds he said he was looking at ijdmtoy's harness to see what was wrong with their own. So if there is a new harness then this might be it. I kept the bulbs from my v-leds kit and returned the harness, but i am using the harness from ijdmtoy cause the bulbs that came with their kit weren't to my liking. the v-leds bulbs are brighter. I was for awhile using just the bulbs but they kept cutting off then turning back on and one was brighter then the other. I saw the ijdmtoy kit and figured let me try this one and if it doesn't work either I'll send everything back and scrap the led drl idea but everything is working good now and evenly bright. I'll snap a pic when I get a chance.

Hey, I have had mine on for about 7 months now.. I bought the Original Harness from V-LED , but the leds bulbs I bought off Ebay.

Here's a few pics..

Testing out if they work, before I put them in.. (back in August)

After I completely installed them...

And this is from a few nights ago.. still going Strong. I love it!

(Just the DRLs are on.. even tho the pic looks like the Headlights are sort of on too)

I have DRL on my 2005 TL because Canadian models came out with them? Will this work for my LED DRLs?

So if I connect just normal bulbs LED bulbs that are 9006 it won't work? Oh and what's the harness? link?

edit: is this the new one

This is the link that V-Led's sent me for the harness and the bulbs, not sure if that's what you're looking for

http://www.v-leds.com/Vehicle-Specif...-p9087945.html

They also sent instructions

That must be new. And if I'm correct that must be the same box like I got with my ijdmtoy harness. It's a golden box and when I spoke to James from v-LEDs he thought that that could very well be the fix to their harness. Next time I'm under my hood I'll snap a few pics I'm just so busy with other stuff at the moment.

Anyone else doing these types of DRL upgrades without having to spend $100? (VLEDs)

It's funny that you bumped this thread, I was just looking at it yesterday. From what I read the only way to do it is through the use of a harness. DigitalEmpire22 was able to do it without it though (psst...he has a freaky car...lol). Anyways, I'm planning to spend the 100 bones on it. First I'll try it without the harness if I get the DRL code on the dash I'll just use the harness. Hopefully these instructions from V-LEDs help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLJm4P-cBzA
