Unhappy Type-S wheels stolen.....

I can't believe it happened but I'm not to shocked. Looks like I had my wheel locks on my backseat and they decided to break the window to get to it and took there time.

Not only did they take my rims they stole my sisters '98 Civic from the visitor parking area and used the jack on her car to raise my car.

This happened early Thursday morning between 1am and 5am. I think it may be some professionals at a body shop since I had taken the civic there for an estimate as the car was in a accident, and positive they have my car and civic info on file.

I don't know what I'm going to do bros to stop them from doing this again and it's a shitty feeling. Keep your TL's safe guys.

Damn that sucks big time! It's sad because you can't have anything nice anymore because some people can't keep their hands off your stuff. Hope you get all this taken care of by the insurance.

Nope, I guess the factory alarm doesn't have a shock or glass breakage sensor.

What's even scarier is that nobody heard it break and it was parked infront of town homes.

Sorry to hear that. It angers me when I hear about things like this. The only thing I can think of to deter them next time would be a better alarm and a sensor that trips when the car is jacked up and has glass sensors. Truth is, if someone is hellbent on getting your wheels, they're going to get them.

Get shittier wheels. 5 spoke base too sexy.

also you can get tilt and shock sensors on factory for cheap. its somewhere on the forums, i would recommend doing that.

The wheels should say something like "Enkei" or "Honda Motor Co" on the back.

Correct
Look for "Enkei" on inside for the real deal...

Someone else on the forum recently went through this and they tried replacing his wheels with replicas...

Keeping the lock on your backseat wasn't too smart. I'd recommend locking it away.

I keep my wheel locks in the glove compartment with the valet key. I keep the glove box locked until I need to give the locks to a mechanic.

Are all waffle rim locks standard? Because I have them on my car, the key was in the glove box, and I believe someone attempted to steal mine as well, because I found the front wheel lock missing. I think someone must've seen them or gotten spooked. They could easily have had the same type of wheel lock key from Acura/Honda?

re: waffle wheel locks... well, if they are OEM acura locks..they are not all standard but there are only so many 'lock configurations'... maybe 5-10. Dealers have a set of 'master keys' that can open any OEM locks... and there's always the chance some a$$ has a few of these locks that might just be able to unlock your oem acura lock.

Man that sucks. I get nervous with mine cause I park in some shady towns from time to time for work. Good luck with the insurance I hope it works out. As for te locks anyone can grab a wheel lock removal kit from online or a tool supplier and get wheel locks off fast. To me it's just like locking your doors. You are only keeping the honest people out. If a good thief wants your car or wheels they are going to get it.

So what wheel locks does everyone recommend that will at least slow them down?

Also, anyone have an aftermarket alarm and how does it integrate with the 07/08 TL switchblade fob?

Sorry this happened to you man. Hope you filed a police report right away. Keep following up with the detective (nicely) about any leads he may have and make sure to tell him about the shop you suspect.
I worry about this too with my type S wheels, but these people are brazin to do this from a neighborhood driveway! I hope these criminals get caught and you get everything back or replaced.

Man this sucks its actually my biggest fear since I park my vehicle in the street at night with nice aftermarket wheels. I have 2 different wheel locks on them and a aftermarket alarm that's on the sensitive setting.
It sucks people still do this. This is the main reason I left the Civic/integra scene. I guess now those guys got TL's
I would suggest you get 2 different wheel locks. Now this wont prevent them from
stealing them since there's ways around it, but it will slow them down a lot.
Also hide your wheel locks really good in a place only you would know

Man sorry to hear about that. I was a victim of this years ago. Now I use Gorilla wheel locks on my car...

http://www.gorilla-auto.com/

Been using them for years with no issues. And they sell a kit where every single lug nut is considered a locking lug nut which are the ones I bought. you can find those here...

http://www.gorilla-auto.com/the-system

I think I paid about $70 for the set. Small price to pay for piece of mind. Just my
