Hi fellow Acura members. I have an 05 SSM TL and recently placed 08 Type S wheels. I'm considering placing the Type S badge on my trunk just for the look. I'm not doing other mods. Trying to keep it more stock. I did my research and I know the TL emblem changed on the 07/08 model. I'd like to know if the Type S emblem fits next to the TL emblem on the 05 model? Do I need to redadge and replace a new TL badge plus the Type S one? Post some pics if you guys added this mod to your model pre 07/08. I'd appreciate any input please.

You can place the Type-S badge next to your current TL badge, as you can see in this following picture the "TL" and "Type-S" badges are not connected. They are held on to the trunk with double sided adhesive.
I think you should get the 07-08 TL badge because the earlier ones are not going to look right. If I'm honest I wouldnt put the type-s badge on at all, its not a type-s.
I remember when I was searching for a Type-S online and found a great deal but the seller changed everything to look like a Type-S from the base model. Then I saw the engine bay pic with the 3.2 logo
I'll gladly rip off my type S logo and sell it to you for the right price :wink:

There's a guy here in my town that did this to his stock base TL.
You're only fooling the ignorant/old people who don't care. You'll look like 100% tool bag status to everyone, and in the worst case your car will get turned into an internet meme.
