TSB covered under Warranty

Hey guys quick question for you.

Are service bulletins covered under Acura CPO 12,000 mile warranty?

Also are they covered by the extended Acura Care Premium?

The reason I ask is because I'm getting a check gas cap message pop up every so often after double checking the gas cap, also some rear deck rattle in an 08 TL.

Although I'm not positive, I would say, "Yes." Even then you need to exhibit the symptoms of the TSB AND be within the VIN range.

If not, then you are relying only on the provisions of the extended warranty and/or dealer goodwill.

It should be covered. My dealer did the rear shelf TSB under my CPO warranty. Well, they tried 2-3 times and it still rattles.

Yes and No. Basically they said its not a recall and they don't even "have" to do it.

I disagree. Acura Care itself does not cover rattles ( that's why i never got it lol ) . If your car is under 50k it will be covered by the factory warranty. And I'm guessing your over 50k because you bought the extended coverage.

Not sure who your dealership is but mine convered it! I actually have a little over 41,000 on my car but opted for the extended warranty till 100,000, which is full powertrain and bumper to bumper.

^ you have an 08 with a little over 41k of course your covered for the rattle by the factory warranty and I'm pretty sure after 50k you won't be covered for rattles. Acura care does not cover any rattles.

Thanks for all that! It still depends on your dealership and mine has a pretty decent service department, so I'm not too worried about it!

Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead but, given that the TSB states that there is a defect in material and workmanship and gives advice on how to fix said defect, would that make it covered under an Acura Extended warranty? Anyone know for sure? If it's hit or miss I'll take my chances, but better to be armed with actual information when you talk to the genius service writers.
