Test Drove 2004 Tl Today!!!!!!!!
I basically spent the afternoon in Rye Brook, NY...nice town.
The base model is OK..I only say that because once I saw the A-Spec...I was in love. They had a silver one with complete A-Spec kit. The only negative point, is the price for the A spec...over $4000.
A-Spec ground kit is about $1500. Wheel and tires are over $2500, each rim is $379, I suggest to buy them on tire rack..someone posted a pictures and them..so check that out. Just replace the center cap from acura parts later. The acura center cap's are chrome..very nice, and I expect they will be stolen. One thing I noticed is the A-Spec has 4 circle holes in the rear bumper, anyone know what's those are?
For anyone that wants to go see, must hurry...and go tomorrow! Last day....
The Hitlon in Rye Brook, NY
Go to the back lot and you see Weshchester D section...near the tennis courts....that's where they keep the cars. Inside though...there is a conference room with the car inside for the sales meeting. Those guys are great...showed me everything...inside and out, engine and trunk! The cars should be parked there in the morning and afternoon. Otherwise check the test track at Playland.
Rye Playland
Parking lot is ready for the test drive with the cones laid out. 2 tracks t that are both timed. Just enter the lot, if a staff member from playland comes just say your with acura, and do the same to acura reps.
Overall, I was very impressed. The acura guys werre great too...even though I was more informed then them.
As far as pictures, I took about 60...I'll post later. If anyone that wants please feel free to email me...I sendthem to you. Because I never uploaded any pics here before.

Nice pix, madd! Well done. $4k for the A-Spec treatment, eh? Man, Acura is sure testing the market with this one! To compare for a current TL:
$275 for Comptech springs (appx.)
$200-250 for install in Cleveland area
$1200+ for decent rims, rubber and install
$1100 for body kit and install at the dealership I use
So around $3k ($2800 +) on top of the price of the car. Never mind, seems to be in the high end of the ballpark.

But he is not 100% sure on the price and dont forget you get better brake pads, BIGGER rims, A-SPEC Badge , Special Bodykit only included in package, Special Spoiler, Different Steering Wheel, Yokohoma TIRES (GOOD), Also the specialty of the car being a A-SPEC

Its the Badge, Distinctive look, and prestige that makes the premium worth it for people willing to pay

maddtl, thankx for the pics, great quality :p
i have to say the a-spec is looking good, though a bit pricy...consider the amount of stuff goes in the package, it's not a bad deal.....afterall, it makes the new tl look just that much better

Cost of the lowering springs? (the main reason I am interested in the A-spec)

Damn that Silver one is tight! I like!

I dont think those were A Spec cars since there was no listing for the different steering wheel, no A Spec badging or different brakes or springs(as pointed out above). Also I believe the body kit is supposed to be unique for the A Spec cars.

I was wondering if anyone was going today?
I was talking to a guy from the factory and he confirmed that the silver one is in fact A-spec. It's not from the factory but the dealer installed option along with the steering wheel. You can order pieces seperately.
I was curious, if you have to pay $379 a rim, do you get to keep the stock rims or does the dealer discount the rim and keep the stock ones?
