The amazing look. It helped when I would see rockstars car when I browsed the web looking for TL and mods in a google search and would see them in google images.

At the time, it seems like the best single car in my price range. Very good exterior, excellent engine for it's size, decent fuel economy, excellent reliability, and good interior all good for daily driving. I am trying to upgrade in a year or so to something more sporty, but am having a difficult time finding all of the above in my next car.

IMO, the TL has all the things that pleases me. Great exterior/interior design, sporty, luxury, perfect HP, and the HID.

I thought (and still think) it's a beautiful car with nice lines and a manual transmission.

I wanted a 3rd Lexus GS, but I couldn't go with another automatic.

I remember falling in love with the 3G TL when it came out back in late 2003 -- I thought (and still do today) that it was the most beautiful car on the road. I used to like going up my local Acura TL dealer in Westmont, IL on Sundays just to walk though the lot and drool over them.

Ended up driving a 2003 Accord V6 EXL-Navi which I loved for seven years. But when I gave it to my daughter, a 2008 TL was a natural choice for my next car and I was lucky to find a CPO one at a nearby dealer in Indianapolis with 54K miles.

I still love the looks of the 3G and feel that it's a car whose design will age exceptionally well!

For me it was a combination of things.. the price was right and I was in school so I didn't want something that required a lot of maintenance. It looks great, comes full loaded (navi, leather, HIDs, decent sound system) and it has power. I honestly think it's one of the best cars in its price range.

I bought my 05 TL at 95K in 09 for about 14K after taxes and fees. Did the timing belt, water pump, etc right afterwards. It's been running with barely any problems in the 3 years I've had it.

It would've been awesome if they came out with SH-AWD for the 3G TL's.. if so it would definitely be a close competitor with the A4.

One thing I regret though is not getting a 6MT but due to time constraints at the time of purchasing my car I had to settle with the 5AT.

5at 07 tl s cbp

Came from 01 Eclipse GT that was totaled by drunk taxi driver running a light x(. Anyways I wanted a bigger car and I fell in love with the exterior of the 04-08 TL. My best bud told me to go big and go for a TL Type S and that's exactly what I went for. I got lucky and found 07 TL Type S CBP which was the color I wanted, the rest was history.

Always loved the lines of the car, my brother was in the market for a car, he tried an RSX, he didn't know much about the TL but when he saw that he was uncomfortable (6'3") in the RSX he decided to try a TL. Needless to say he bought one. I had a V6 accord coupe at the time. He was out of town for work training in '08, left me his car for safekeeping. Drove it for a week, loved everything about it. Vowed to get one of my own. Got an '08 6MT Type-S couple months ago. Couldn't be happier.

When I lived in an apartment a while back (I think it was in 07' or so) my neighbor had a NBP Type-S and it always caught my eye when I saw it, always thought it was a sexy looking car and fell in love with it then.

At that time I had all my vehicles paid for and didn't 'need' a new(er) vehicle.

Some years later, I finally decided it was time for a new(er) car, and previous to this I had owned lots of sporty cars and bikes, so I decided it was time for a luxurious car this time around. I went to a good friend of mine who managed a used car dealership and gave him a short list of about 3 or 4 cars that I would be interested in, one of them being a NBP TL-S, he provided me with different options on cars I had interest in until he finally found my current TL-S, it was a few states away for sale, so I had him go and pick it up and I bought it, been loving every minute of it since

I wrecked my 09 Honda Accord EX-L - but I really wanted something faster than my gutless 4 cylinder. I looked at an '05 RL, '06 CTS, and an 04 and 06 TL. The RL was nice, but it seemed like it was meant for someone a lot older than I - wood steering wheel, gearshift, trim, etc... The CTS seemed like it was made by monkeys in Alabama... then the TL's - loved em and bought em!

I ended up buying both TL's for my wife and I.

I always loved the look of the 3G TL, but wasn't old enough to drive yet. About a decade later of its release and I finally find myself in one due to my s2000 basically dying. I could've had it fixed for a pretty penny, but since I was planning on getting rid of it I did for a price I couldn't refuse. That helped me get into a TL.

I drove one back in like 2008 and loved how it felt. Great power, smooth ride, quiet, luxury feel, and most of all, sporty for a sedan. 6yrs later I'm glad I can say I own one and get to drive it everyday.

My 01 Maxima was dying and needed a replacement, wasn't exactly looking for a TL at first, was actually looking for a good low mileage dodge charger but couldn't find anything I liked nor in my price range, then stumbled upon the TL at a Subaru dealership of all places, test drove it and said this isn't 100% but damn close to what I'm looking for and bought it, so far haven't regretted it.

Wanted to have a great, reliable first car and I had a good amount of money saved up so I went for the TL and it was the best decision I've ever made. I bought a 2008 TL Base w/NAVI model and the drive is so smooth, the sports/luxurious look equipped with good power just makes it perfect in my opinion. I am hoping to add a few modifications to it.

The fact that this car doesn't like like everything else on the road. Plus, back then (I bought my Type S in 2008), the DVD Audio component REALLY helped sell me too.

I use to have a 2006 Acura RSX Type S. Last model year before they went buh-bye. Had some work done to it.

Name: Mar3_zpsdd9c4cea.jpg
Views: 193

Sold it last year because I needed a bigger and safer car for my baby, who was not even one at the time. There were really four choices. Subaru Legacy, Infiniti G37, Evo X, and the TL. I decided to stay away from turbo cars to save on gas and maintenance. Then came across my 2006 TL 6 Speed. Pretty happy so far.

The looks.... I loved the 3G from when it first came out.... one of the most beautiful cars ever made IMO. Plus, it was a perfect step up from an 03 Accord EXL V6.

I was looking for a 6 cyl, 4 door, manual. If the Accord was optioned like that in 2005, I would have bought one, but they only had 4 cyl manual that year. I think in 06, they maybe had a 6 cyl, I don't remember. I was looking at the Maxima and BMW. The BMW scared me b/c of maintenance, and I was sold on the TL almost as soon as I sat in it, with the awesome interior. To this day, I often turn and take a peek when I park, and say to myself "What a great looking car!"

Today I went to the dealership to test drive the MDX (possible choice for my wife), and of course to drive the TLX (first time I see it in person). Although the TLX is a worthy successor to the 3G TL, I still pick my ASM 2007 TL Navi over the TLX. Timeless design.

Me too,
Although my 97 SE 5 spd was bullet proof...
It was my 02 6spd that was a pile. Had it 1 year

Drove my buddies TL home from the CT casinos one morning. He was still half in the bag by the time check out rolled around.
Of course, he let me romp on it the whole way home...
SOLD! Bought one soon after

The 6MT is what sold me. Along with EVERYTHING else about it to the ageless exterior design to awesome interior! And of course the smooth quick ride.
