Selling my 2008 Acura TL Type S: Am I asking too much?

Hello Folks- I am looking to move on from my 2008 Acura TL Type S as it is a fourth vehicle and does not get driven as much as it should. I would like honest feedback if I am asking too much for this case.

https://allentown.craigslist.org/cto...879374407.html

Moderator's, this is not a for sale ad, just linked my CL ad to get honest feedback on the car and if I have it priced too high.

Thank you,
Drew

I don't think this is priced too high at all, looks like someone will get a little higher mileage but well maintained TL. Honestly I wouldn't take any lower-Glws

I'd be inclined to ask for as much as $7,000 and then negotiate down a bit. The car is extremely clean, the seats are in good condition, and the dash is not cracked, so in spite of the miles, it is in MUCH better shape than a lot of Type-S models on the market with half the miles.

$5,000 for 205K miles. I'd say about right from a car that's well maintained. No cracks in the dash as well.

If they were, they were done by the original owner and not me......plus the front and rear bumper have a few marks here and there for 204,xxx miles as a DD.

I have only cared for the car by washing and waxing it weekly and garaging it as well and taking it to an indy garage specializing in Honda/Acura

If there is paint work, I would not disagree, but could not tell you the how or why either.....

I would offer you $4k and see where we ended up but if it's taken care of it's not overpriced. Looks great from pics and maintenance. I'm not a fan of CBP so that may factor into the demand. If it were a more rare color combo it could potentially command more. You'll sell it in no time though. In ATL I would ask $6500 for it lol if I bought it from you today for $4500

Thank you for the feedback Ghost. I agree with what you have said mostly....LOL

I think I can get my asking price or close to it...as I mentioned, I am slightly open to less for a serious buyer.

I paid $7,800 for a 10 year old RDX with 175K miles and that was still a good deal.

According to KBB, private party value is around $6,500. ($5.4K-$7.6K)

Sorry to flood your thread, but I feel passionate about the topic!

Firstly Carbon Bronze was my favorite color for the car.
Secondly, stand firm on that price.
Well documented and maintained Honda with 200K miles.
Shit, that engine is just now broken in.

I wish I was in need, but I'm not and I already have stable of cars
parking in front of my house. Everyone is after a manual but a nice
auto that isn't 04-06 would be a great starter car for a teenager.

If you still have it in 12 years I'll buy it for my daughter.

No worries MM. I have dropped the price to $4,650 FIRM.....Either it sells or I keep it and still get that amount next year with another 5,000 milers on the car

I pulled a Carfax on it. Accident occurred on 12/24/2017. I'm surprised more of the service history didn't show up on the Carfax. Dealerships are usually very good at reporting all the completed services.

I just had my first legit buyer come and look at the Acura this afternoon. Looking for his older son, but might keep it for himself if he buys it.......

standing next to the car and it all shinny and sexy and clean in the sun talking with this potential buyer, I am thinking to myself, why am I selling t his and how can I replace this car for $4,650???

akplaya92, et al....i ran the carfax as well in August of 2018 before I bought the car and I asked the original owner what is with the accident report?

He told me a parking lot incident around Christmas time where someone was backing out of a parking spot and he was in the lane to pull into said spot, but car backing up kept backing up and tapped the front bumper. No damage, according to the original owner, but he was so anal about the car and the issue that the original owner called the po po to file an accident report and have it of record.......do not ask me why that is the story I got and if you saw the fodler full of records, you would understand the care this man took of the car.

easy answer,
you can't replace it for $4600...
trust me, I have the Volvo for sale and I watch my fiancee drive it home the other day from work as I follow her.
I'm like
why am I even selling that thing, it's pretty!

If you're serious, sell your car and buy his.
Why would he want to get stuck with having to sell a less desirable profit after the fact?
Actually, yes...he'll trade you with $4500 cash on top for you. Good deal.
