Seat heater

My drivers seat heater works only on the back but not on the butt. Anyone run into this? I am going to be replacing the leather covering on the drivers seat soon, so I plan to have it apart. I don't know if this would be a heating element issue or if I would get off easy and something is just unplugged. Does one relay or whatever control both heaters or are they separate? The passenger seat they both work.
Thanks

Check the resistance of the bottom seat heater.
