i got the 3G one and it fit almost all the way to the end, very very minimal gap.

as marco said, you need 2 people to install, but i was kind of thrown off by adjustment part, wasn't much adjustment needed.

marco - did you completely line it up flush to the roof and cover the gap from the back window?

I ended up leaving the gap from the window and lined mine up w/ the glass.

i would have put it up against the roof line flush.

doesn't look right any other way IMO.

Yes, I lined it up with the roof. It overhangs the edge of the glass very minimally. Even though it's against the roof, it shouldn't affect much, because you could still slip a piece of paper between them. Honestly it would be a much harder job trying to only bend it enough to go along the glass. I found it easier to push on it when bending so that it went flush with the roof.

It's been raining here all week. No pics yet, sorry!

i wasn't sure whether it should have been flush or not, but either way, i'm happy w/ the placement.

i was going to post on here and ask what people did but was trying to get it on in time since i needed my car the next day and wanted to allow enough time to dry - not to mention, i had a friend available to assist at the time.

i went w/ my gut.. i figured, i'd match the gap, kept the same flow going.

shark - you're TL is super dope! definitely one of my favorites i've seen here - really dig that you stepped out the box w/ your color choice.

I didn't post all of the user's pictures... You should ask them or find their threads for more photos.

Hopefully that helps you make a decision, whichever it is I'm sure it'll work nicely.
Also hope that helps anyone else... rather than going to various threads finding the threads.

Ditto. The weather here is crazy lately. It goes from a full seven days of hard rain to three days of 33+ degrees C (92+ F) back to rain for another four days.

so, i may have under-estimated the amount of glue.. i noticed that the roof spoiler is started to loosen at each end.. got a car wash the other day and saw some spots drip from underneath the spoiler and sure enough, it's loose a bit.

any suggestions on taking it off and cleaning off the back side?

goo-gone?

I know ill need new double sided tape and glue - will use some of the suggestions mentioned on the previous page.

Just curious as I might purchase one soon, how long did the install take? Also will it be harmful using different types of ways of keeping the spoiler on (Original adhesive, 3M Tape, and window weld all together?)

install is quick, 10-15 mins tops, if that.. but you do need to allow the glue to dry at least 12hrs (suggested in instructions)

Finally snapped some pics of my install. Very easy to do with two people. The 2nd pic shows how the spoiler fits the roofline except for where the rubber piece butts up against it. Not much you can do about that.

I removed mine last night, as i was driving, i kept hearing a noise from the back window, sure enough, it was loosening up some more. I was amazed how easy it came off too; someone could have easily taken it if they wanted.

Going to pick up some 3m tape today and window weld - make sure that it stays on and doesn't come loose.

Mine is doing well but on really hot days I can wiggle the very edge of it, noticing that it moves every so slightly. You're right revel_one, if someone really wanted it they could just pull it off.

Hey guys, I have looked all over eBay. I cannot find a roof spoiler for my car in carbon grey pearl- NH658P. Does anyone know where I can get one with my paint color? Thanks.

Worse comes to worst, you can buy an unpainted one and have it painted to match at a local shop.

I hope you can find one though!

When I bought my roof spoiler from oembmwshop, they didn't have one in my color either. You just specify which color you want when you buy it. They will confirm the color with you before shipping it.

As a matter of fact the paint job on it turned shit and started showing hairline cracks from edge to edge but the roof spoiler is still holding in place just fine. I would like to buy a new one, but the shitty paint on it can only be noticed when your standing less than a foot away.

I highly recommend against using loctite and sandpapering the glass because when your roof spoiler paint job turns shit you're going to have a hell of a time removing it to replace it with another or repainting it...

The temperatures here in TX during the summer reaches 110F-120F and during winter drops to about 10F-20F.

It was this past winter when I noticed my paint job on the roof spoiler turned shit.
What color?

Damn that's a nice ride CBPTypeS!

What rear window spoiler do you have? It' looks like it is more flat and doesn't have the lip of the bmwoemshop style spoiler. Could be wrong but in the pic it looks a bit more lower profile.
