Ron Jon Body Kit for '08 TL
Hello All
I'm wondering if any owners of Ron Jon body kit can speak to the following:
1. Overall quality of the kit?
2. Fitment? Issues? Gaps? Etc.
3. Did you have any issues with paint if you bought it already painted? Spider webs, cracks from shipping?
4. Any disappointment in anything? Purchase experience, shipping, quality, etc.?
5. For 08 owners, any issues with fitment on an 08? How did you install the factory fog lights?
Any info or feedback is appreciated before I drop $2500 on this kit. Looking forward to hearing your experiences? Thanks.

ZGhost, I don't have one, but have always admired them. I can speak to some of your questions based upon what I've read here on Acurazine.
1. Good quality to the kit
2. There are issues with the fitment. Sometimes it will need to be shaved and more custom fit while installing it.
3. Most people get the kits unpainted and have them done themselves, which leads to better opportunity to get a better custom fit before painting the kit. Plus, it will save you a lot of money too.
4. Rondy at RonJon is great to work with. He's a huge sponsor/vendor of Acurazine.
You might also consider a set of RonJon wheels (like Inspyres) to finish off the look of your car.

First off, please get the kit unpainted and unprepped. Rule #1. I sent you a PM as well with my contact info so I can prevent you from making the same mistakes I did or wish someone told me. Definitely get it, you won't regret it, your TL will be distinguished from the many others. Its one decision I do not regret one bit.

When I had my kit installed the shop said that it was the best kit they ever installed. It matched up to the car perfectly and they were even impressed with all the mounting brackets and hardware that came with it.

We had the same kit test fitted on 3 different TLs in the prototyping stage back in 2005-06, and it fit differently on each TL. Something about the headlight, bumper and quarterpanel meeting up in each car being slightly different. Anyway, if you are a PERFECTIONIST and want the kit to come out how it is shown on these cars:

then get it in raw and test fit it before paint. Never had I heard of a kit needing any cutting or rebuilding, but I have heard from some shops who sanded down the edges slightly or used 3M tape to get a stubborn sideskirt to stay pressed against the body. nothing major, but will require a professional to make it look perfect.

more than happy with it.. fitment is pretty good.. only have a little gaps by the turn signal on the headlight..my dude said there was a little sanding to be done but other than that no complains. def get it raw. have the shop do everything..much better off that way.. it breaks necks..lol.. i recomend it..
