RDX brake cover conversation (2005 TL)
Hey guys, I just got done putting my 2013 RDX brake covers on my TL and I'm currently waiting for the RTV and spray paint to dry. I only did the front brakes for now and next paycheck I'm going to be doing the backs.
I noticed that the front brakes don't "fill out" the covers like I've seen on the back, but I still think they look pretty nice.
Thoughts?!

LOOKS GOOD
although it's not really a 'conversion' per se.. just a cover

Didn't even catch that

I wouldn't mind doing the same if I can get my hands on an inexpensive set. Since we are already having a conversation about this conversion... does it interfere with your ability to change pads at all?

I wouldn't think so since you can still get to the bolts to undo the calipers and it just goes OVER the caliper. These are inexpensive, I picked mine up for $40 with shipping.

[In a cranky old curmudgeon voice....] Covers, we didn't have no stinkin' RDX covers back in the day. RDX wasn't even a thing yet. Paint! We used caliper paint and decals. Clean it, clean it again, clean it one more time and then paint it. Wait a day and put on the decals. Still look like the day I did them.
Back to reality. I can "kind of" see them as OK on the rear to compliment the MT/TLS Brembos on the front. But covers is covers. And putting them on the front ...nope. I never really understood why Acura didn't just spec nice calipers for the rear brakes on the MT/TLS. Sure, it may not make a difference in performance but looks matter to buyers. I guess I was just happy enough with the MT and the front Brembos to look past it like all the rest of us. Seriously though, how much more would it have cost?
