Endless RPM

Anyone using the 500 hp endless rpm axles? How are they? Do they have a balancing ring ? Any issues? The pictures on the website do not look like the axles off the car. Would be cheaper route than oem if possible. 04 6mt

are you referring to the Insane Shafts' axles? If youre looking for a cheaper alternative to OEM axles they're your best bet. Buy them straight from the manufacturer.

Everythung from the trans to the tires is new that spins the wheel. Intermediate shaft, tires, type s rims, both bearings, but the cv Axles i got from oriellys but have warrantied out for 3 different sets from same place and still vibration. My vibration is 65 and up. I need some inputs on what you guys think. Shouldve asked this first.

Purchased car with bent rims. Had to drive on it to save money for parts.

With that abuse, how can you be sure the axles are causing the vibration?

Why did you replace the axles to begin with? Because of vibration?

I'm referring to the abuse from the previous owner, not you.

You've now been through 4 sets of axles and the vibration hasn't gone away. Time to start looking for another cause of the vibration.

LCA bushings. Had a slight vibration past 65+

Axle vibrations were more violent, and only happened when going from 20 -0> 25mph

How have the insane shafts treated you. I haven't heard of any other TL owners running them.

05 tl M/T axles

Hey guys,
New to the forum. My car just hit 115k n needing to replace original axles along with suspension. Either going with tein street basis z or megan racing rx street 2. The problem I'm having is which axles to buy. Already did my homework on the raxles😥 has anyone heard of insaneshafts? Maybe other options?

ROCKAUTO!

FWIW, My best bud from high school who owned an auto parts store for 25 years, and Paul our star master mechanic here in Nawth Jerzy BOTH recommend going with new NOT remanufactured drive shafts. I got mine from rockauto - new, cheap, and trouble free after a couple of years.

Replacement axles - recommended aftermarket brand?

To DMZ - your link above isn't working anymore, looks like RockAuto stopped carrying them now.
My 2006 AT right front axle is leaking grease a bit but no clicking yet, getting parts ready. Some folks posted a while back that they are happy with GSP axles from Advance Auto, but they no longer carry those, only have "Carquest New CV Axle shaft aasembly". Also had contacted Raxles for quote - $250/ea(with core return), plus shipping $60 for 1, $80 for both including return cost for core.

RockAuto currently carries APWI, Surtrack/Trackmotive and Cardone for new axles - can anyone suggest one? OEMs are $520 per side, don't want to drop that much on an 14 years old TL. Thanks for your help.

@Sparky16, nope, RockAuto still carries them.

For some reason, your link (and the DMZ's link) doesn't work on my PC.
Can you please just name the brand if it's allowed? Thanks.

Yes, I have a 2006 TL 6MT and I've had these axles on it since August (well over 15,000 miles).

@DMZ @horseshoez
Still going strong? I have a bad vibration from cheap axles and I'm not sure I'm into paying for oem axles at this point...
I found the APWI but they only have passenger side...which is the side I feel the vibration coming from but...Maybe I should
try raising the car up a tad to see if that helps.

any idea why they only carry the passenger side one?
I feel like that's the side causing the bad vibration.
Thinking about raising the car up a smidge to see if it helps.

thanks @horseshoez

I bought APWI axles last year in June. Car drove like a dream. Four months later the driver side axle puked grease everywhere. Removed it and found a tear on the outer boot between one of the ridges. Filed a warranty claim with rockauto, which was useless because I would have got next to nothing back after shipping. Just bought another one for $85 (CAD) and still good.

That's because they're out of stock on the driver side one. It'll appear again when they're back in stock.

Okay well, good to know, thank you.
I ordered the APWI brand passenger side...I'll give it a whirl and see if it assuages my vibration for now...that's the side I feel it on anyway.
If it does me well I'll go ahead with the driver side down the line. I have seen raxles fail after 60K miles anyway so no point in spending the
extra scratch if I can avoid it.

Time to raise this thread back from the dead. So how did it go? cause i got a vibration on my passenger side too.

Symptoms: shakes the whole front car like driving on rumble strips at slow speed. Under acceleration shakes anywhere from 55mph to 65mph then disappears at around 75mph+. Also, even under 55mph it shakes if i floor it from 0mph. if i dont floor it, driving normally it wont shake till 55mph-65mph.
Also I noticed if i have a passenger/s with me the car vibrates more dramatically, sometimes even sooner like at 45mph but still goes away at 75mph+. I would like to add i am lowered on coilovers for about 4 years now.

Thinking its the axles, I was hoping it was the rims cause i can just buy another one ez swap but i rotated the fronts to the back but the front of the car still vibrate like hell. It has to be the axles?

Might be my last time fixing this TL, yall see these new cars coming out? that toyota corolla gr.😍

I have over 60,000 miles on my APWI axles and they are still as smooth as they were when I had them installed.

I think I have about 50k on my APWis and they are also still running perfect. Well, technically one got tore apart when my lower ball joint failed, but that wasn't the axle's fault. I replaced it with another APWi. All have been smooth lol.
