Removing the panel on the back of the steering wheel without removing the airbag?

I'm trying to replace the clock spring, and I completely stripped both of the screws that hold the airbag in place. I'd be able to get them out if I could get at them with a Dremel, but the panel on the back of the steering wheel (the one where the wiper and turn signal stalks come out of) is in the way. Is it possible to remove that panel without removing the airbag first?

Dude !!! Did you not see where I said "Many people have stripped the two T30 torx bolts because there is a good deal of thread locker on them. Use a top quality torx bit and be very careful when you try to remove them" in your other thread about the clock spring? I said it for very good reason. Enter "site:acurazine.com stripped airbag" into Google (without the double quotes), get a beer to cry in and sit back and read.

FWIW this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p.../#post11354448 says turbo sockets work

to answer the question, no you cannot get the back panel off with the airbag in place. the screws are behind the airbag, and on top of that you cant fully remove it without either removing the whole wheel or cutting it at the bottom.
