Rear view camera on NAV screen?

I've seen links on some forum before to do this. Does anyone have this installed? Or know where I could find good info on this? I'm definitely interested, as I've been spoiled by my 2002 Q45 and 2003 FX45. It's a very useful safety and convenience feature..

Rets is in charge of this project, however he has been slacking. You can do it by using the avelectronics box or else you need another converter. Problem is finding a stock camera from Acura MDX or Lexus RX and doing so at a reasonable price

Red face

moreace, why me...

OK, it's hard to get the decent price for this particular feature. Most of them would come with DVD system with converter device, so far, the price I know is all around $1000-$1800.

I do consider the backup sensor now, but prefer not having the holes visible...

BTW, please check weeeg's thread... http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67879

BTW, moreace, I saw you're going to install backup sensor now? what brand do you get?

Plus, I consider the future hardware upgrade to have the real-time traffic Navi system as 05RL shows. I have no idea if the installation of aftermarket Rear-view camera (along with DVD system) would make that system harder to upgrade.

The safe play for this is to wait for 05/06 TL and they may have factory rear-view camera devices available...

But, if I can find the cheaper way to install it (less than $700), I may do it right away. Let's see.

Rets u can get it done for 700 or under. Talk to Ron at Street Effects

I am getting the sensors with NO HOLES and an additional visual aid!

I am getting it significantly cheaper, pm me if you are interested. System seems great, got for a great price. Prob install with my friend. $600 for Acura is rediculous and this seems great.
