RAIN-X Wipers any good?

I was curious if anyone has tried the new rain-x wipers and if its worth putting out the money for them.

To expensive in my opinion. But I live in San Diego where it rains 6 times a year. I say just get a good set of PIAA Silicone blades for around $20.

I use the rainx polymer on my windshield with the OEM Honda wiper blade inserts and they work great. The key is to have a clean windshield. With that said, by the looks of the weather forecast, I will definitely be using them this afternoon.

Bosch Icons FTW!!! These wipers hug the windsheild and have been working well for me for about 8 months. I live near the ocean so the salt eats at the wipers, but these are still working at their very best. These wipers are frameless and like the ones on the TSX.

Yeah good combo, in my area PIAA Super Silicone's are good by themselves. They add that layer on the windshield similar to rain-x. So they fit the bill

Anyone notice excessive streaking(sp) or the wipers not wiping all the fluid off once you spray the windshield? leaves uncleaned spots and such.

Yes the flat blade wipers from Bosch are fantastic! True they are pricy but you do get what you pay for and the performance has been great. It hardly rains in the Vegas area but when it does, these wipers perform better then anyother I have ever purchased.

I recommend them.

I have the Rain-X Latitudes and they work very well. they are kind of expensive but I think they are worth the money. No streaks or scratches. I guess i'll try out the Icons once these wear out.

Do so! Not having a metal frame is nice plus attaching the Icons is the easiest way of attaching wipers to the arm. Unclip, hook, and clip back. That's it!

Very fast. Like I stated the only thing I hated was the price I paid but....

There's a napa brand that's similar to the rain-x and bosch version.

I saw a commercial for those. It's an interesting design I think. My wifes Mercedes has blades like the RainX with no metal frame. I don't think I would pay what they want for them though... to expensive.

I have the Bosch Icons... No problems so far and they look great. However, im in NY... when i move back to FL in two weeks (where rain in florida is more like a terrential downpour, and many cars have to pull over due to lack of vision because of slow or crappy w/s wipers, we'll see how the icons really perform!). I think they should make the wiping mechanism faster for those of us who have to deal with FL rain!

Yup. I've applied the stuff once about 3 months ago and it's still streaking. Grr!

Bosch Icons and Rain X window washer fluid that applies Rain X each time you clean your windshield FTW!!

I have them and I honestly cannot complain. Snow, Sleet, rain, dirty highway water from the car in front of you.. ALL GONE with one swipe!!
