QS 4X4 Blend, Is this the best bang for your buck blend?

Analysis by Knapp Chevrolet in Houston.

Quaker State 4X4 Synthetic Blend, 5w-30
API SM, ILSAC GF-4

Fe, 1ppm
Pb, 2ppm
Sn, 1ppm
Si, 1ppm
K, 1ppm
B, 230ppm
Mo, 402ppm
Ca, 2520ppm
Mg, 18ppm
P, 776ppm
Sb, 226ppm
Zn, 884ppm

All other elements were reported as zero.

Viscosity @ 100C, 10.8cst
TBN, 9.0 (Dexil)

Looks like a very robust oil for $11/5-quart jug at Walmart. Nice to see them use Antimony and a good dose of Molybdenum in such a low end oil. I expect the 5w-20 version to be just as robust, if not even more. Seems like I've found the next elixir for the TL, and the best bang for your buck, most robust synthetic blend oil for around $2/quart.

Explanation:

Mg, Detergent
Ca, Detergent and increases TBN.
Sb, AW

Hope this helps,
Michael
