Q: What exactly is an "A-Spec"?
The new TL is purportedly going to have an A-Spec package, but I was wondering what is the origin of "A-Spec." I think its some kind of specification for a particular kind of racing, but I'm not sure. I also know there's some Playstation 2 called Grand Turismo: A Spec. But what I'd really like to know is what exactly it is and where it came from.

Optional A-Spec Package (availability TBD)
Performance springs and shocks lowering the vehicle approximately 1.2 inches (30 mm)
18-inch wheels with P235/40ZR18 Yokohama AVS ES100 tires
Aero kit
Rear spoiler
Special steering wheel with distinctive shape and stitching
Performance brake pads for 5AT vehicles (standard 6MT already has them)
A-SPEC badging

Three Wheelin'
I'd say as for the A-Spec for the 2003 model, it's just another way for Acura to push the inventory out before the next gen arrives. It's just like a "special edition." However that may sound cheap since there are a lot of other kind of special editions (of other car) out there. It's just a marketing thing.

A-spec probably is about same price as 2003 model, put it this way, A-spec is equavalent of aero package(side, front, back skirt+rear wing spoiler) +wheel package(18" aluminum wheel alloy + tires)+few other features....if u buy aero package and wheel package together, it will be more expensive price..furthermore, if u get auto trans, the only way u can get Brembo brakes is to go for the A-spec, i don't think they offer Brembo brakes as accesory or option..(at least for now)
PS: don't forget A-spec also lowers ur car :p

A-SPEC = Another Speculation
Unfortunately A-Spec does not give the option for Brembos on AUTO, it gives Upgraded Brake Pads, with the same old BRAKES!

But even if it is brake pads, I am pretty sure a dealership would not Say no, knowing all the money they make on accessories..
I mean they can just order extra and sell tons of them and make money..
Anyways My point is one way or another, there will be a way to get Brembos on the AUTO

I've never heard of A-Spec before talk of the 2004TL. Some of you are talking about A-Spec on the 2003's. Since I didnt actually goto the dealer to get my car, was there an A-Spec for the 2003?

A-Spec in Canada came in only two colours, blue and black with black and blue leather seat surfaces and a black and blue leather steering wheel. The blue was the Aegean Blue Pearl I think, not sure. It came out for the 2003 model later in the year seemingly to keep us happy while they delayed the release of the 04 model.
