Proud owner of a 2006 Acura 6MT

Well as some may know I was the proud owner of a red 2003 Acura CL Type S 6MT with Navi, great car loved it as I got it for a great price and it was my first stick shift car. It had 205,000 miles when I bought it with a slight misfire. Wasn’t worried especially with the price I said screw it I’ll take a shot. It ended up being a gasket on the manifold was put on upside down blocking the exhaust ports thus making the misfire. Problem fixed drop the car for one year on,y out 2,000 miles on it. Unfortunately it wasn’t to practical have two small sons, who by the way loved the car. I decided to sell it, but told myself that I had to find a TL with a manual to act as a dual purpose. Well several months passed and I came across a 2006 TL 6MT locally for a good price and decided to take a shot. Car drove solid, shifted well, seats not ripped, dash has one crack in it, it is without some issues. One being lowered on coils a little too low for my liking, and the mufflers being a little on the loud side, but other that that I’m very pleased. It has 170,000 miles but drives well and is comfortable.

Very cool!
the exhaust tip bothers me! fix it! probably is the source of the shitty sounding exhaust! previous owner cut out the muffler and tried to re-attach tips, but failed to execute

Congratulations! I went from a CL-S to a TL as well :)

Update:
today I sourced a complete oem exhaust from the cat back for a steal. Putting on Monday can’t wait. The only thing so far is the Navi can get a little weird.

I have the same spec'd car but an 05 and came with a factory trunk spoiler. Love having a 6 speed! Give those headlights a refinish with one of those headlight kits, it's well worth it and it makes your car look like a million bucks.
I didn't use a kit but instead just bought 3 stages of sand paper and then used my own compound and wax. Use painters tape to tape off your paintwork all around your headlights!
You wanna wet sand with 3 stages of sand paper so I believe I used: 3M 1000 grit > 2000 grit > 3000 grit > Meguiar's Ultimate Compound (did mine by hand and still worked wonders) > any preferred wax (synthetic waxes last longer FWIW). Wax your headlights every time you wash the car or clean your glass.
You can substitute 1000 grit for 800, and 2000 grit for 1500 and then spend a little longer using 3000 grit, but it'll come out all the same. With whatever sand paper you use, the longer your sand and perfect your work, the better and newer they will look.

Same color as my 06 MT, nice! Clean those headlights - it'll make the car look ten times better and newer.
